I am so sorry you didn't have your camera. You do take such great pics. However, your description was pretty much right on the button. He was probablly thinking about how stupid he looked to you....with his mouth full to overflowing. Or he was wondering if you were going to leave him alone to eat "the whole thing".

Have you ever considered writing a book of the sights you see? You have a wonderful way with words and I have enjoyed so much your post on the forum.

I never knew starfish were eaten by birds, just never thought of it and so it was a new thing I've learned today.

LJ, I'm a country gal and love the beaches, but never knew this. You are in for such a treat when you do get out in your r.v. I have learned so much and learn something else new every day,on the road and on this forum.

Mitch, thanks for the picture, made me feel a little gaggy, but so neat to see it.

Kd, I know you won't forget your camera for awhile, but when you do, don't get too upset, as you paint a lovely mind picture of all that you see.

Thank you for such a nice comment. I actually did write a book about my lifetime of outdoor experiences with wildlife..initially it was to be only about bear and cougar experiences then I figured why not include every memorable episode with any and all wildlife. I titled it "Lions and Marmots and Bears, Oh MY!"I retired from Boeing as a graphic designer and of course we worked hand-in-hand with writers, editors, and proof-readers. I developed a lifetime friendship with one of those editors who lives in Ogden now. I e-mailed the transcript to her, trusting her instints implicitly. She suggested I write it in a "heart-felt spiritual" fashion as opposed to the more "light-hearted humorous" fashion that I had used. I get her point, as animal lovers will enjoy it more if I express my reverence for the moments instead of humor. For now, it sits in an envelope; haven't talked to her since....just kidding.

I don't mean to laugh, but laugh I did. Will we ever learn...I'm having my camera surgically attached to my hip...oh, guess that won't work

With your vivid description, you didn't need a camera to get my attention.
