Is this still being planned? If so, what are the dates? I already have the 16th thru the 18th off from work (my dad was going to visit then for my birthday but can't make it now until the end of the month). Sounds like you may be doing it later than that, tho...?
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

been MIA looks like
haven't checked this in oh so long
yes now if I can remember what all was asked
we are in long term you can stay here for 40 dollars for 14 days lowest they come yes there is free areas some campgrounds in town but they charge
enough you would still save money paying to be on the desert
yes Kerry is here...
Barbie we sent the date to be around the 28 there is a big gem and mineral/rock show here the 19-23 and use a lot of volunteers since I'm volunteering there
set the time to not interfere with it... lots going on at this time of the season
as to distance I don't know how far across Phoenix you are but we are 129 miles from Phoenix
Think Sharon answered yours Barbi
Sharon we are in the same place as we were before
go South out of town on 95 about a mile to north La Posa long term camping area as it come closer will do something about directions
So hoping that many of you can attend...To bad Ava is working so many hours and days she could come to!
again sorry that I've not posted or checked this for so very long did awhile back and didn't see anything new back where Sharon was telling about our boondocking must have been more activity not long after that!
I will check in more often promise

your right Sheila, if I wasn't working all the time I'd make a day trip cause now I have
gas money, etc. Q is just a couple hours drive from Phoenix and my car runs good.
What are you doing Monday? Maybe I could go grab Linda and come out for lunch.
Just a thought.

Hi All, it's Melinda from Iowa, I just passed by that Quartzsite Arizona on my way to Palm Desert to see my sister and brother-in-law. I was suprised to see all the RV's in the middle of nowhere. My sister told me a little about the area, I had never heard of it. What's the scoop? I flew into Phoenix on Satruday (I have a meeting that starts Wednesday Night in Tempe) then rented a car and drove over here to Palm Desert. (MH still put away for the winter) I was very intrigued with the setting and all the different types of Rv's. Thanks in advance for any info you can share with me. :?:

I'm sure that there are others that can tell you more of the history of Quartzsite...hereafter to be called Q
Not sure when or why people started flocking to this area it started out that you could boondock on BLM land for nothing for the winter
When my husband started talking about it think it was more than that now it costs 180 to boondock from Sept 15 to April 15 they have a dump and water although we usually go into town to get it chiefly because we didn't know that they had water as well. We have a 5th wheel and when DH goes to dump he uses a different area than the motor homes do...and knowing him he will continue force of habit ....but to fill the barrel it's just a couple of dollars can't kick
Anyway back to Q the summer time there is about 3500 residents winter that is upward to 1 million lots of vendors come and hawk there wares...campgrounds in town have jams and all sorts of activity's Just a lot going on that keeps people here and coming here for many years...know of people that have been coming for 30 years...stop by on you way through and check it out

The rv place has assured me that my fridge will be repaired on Monday, come hell or high water, so I should be pulling in there on Thursday. I'm not towing the car this time, just mostly planning on sitting and visiting, but if anyone wants to go see the vendors and has wheels, I'm more than happy to tag along. Evie will be over at the same cg we were at last time, but I'm not real sure when she's leaving. I have her cell #, so we can call and see if she's still there.

Let me know before Sunday what I can bring for the tacos or whatever you decide to have, and what you need for the breakfast. I can bring the beans, cheese or whatever you need. Want me to make scrambled eggs for the breakfast? Or Danish? Fruit?

Sheila, I kind of remember how to get to where you're at, I remember the part about the left at La Posa, but after that I'm lost. Either send me GPS co-oridinates, directions or phone number so I can find you guys. Is there room by you? I sure hope so, or I'm gonna be doing a lot of walking! LOL!

Sharon and anyone else coming
turn left at the North La Posa
go past the check in place (if you are staying by us you will need to stop in and pay)
go on the paved road through the wash and turn just before you get to the dumpsters you will see a sign that
says road to no where and a bear with a cardinal on it our name BOYD turn at that sign
go through another small wash (and see another sign) and keep going you will be going about 1/2 mile
you will find another sign that says No where middle road and another bear/cardinal sign turn down that drive
Kerry's rig is the first 5th wheel our is the next a Challenger.
It depends upon how many of us come as to how we will divide it up let me do some checking and will let you
know either by pm or on this space
see you soon

Grated cheese, dessert and tortilla chips. That's all stuff that I always have on hand. Did you get a b-day cake? Want me to make you one? Tee Hee!
