Morning all,
Blustery day here at the 45th. Cloudy with light snow. Temp: 7 degrees above. Wind chill: -7 below. Winds NW 12-25 mph and gusting. Forecast: depending on where you live, anywhere from hardly nothing to 3-6 inches of snow. Lake Effect Snow Watches and Warnings out for 18 counties but not this one.
After the forecast calling for 3-6 inches of snow, possibly more for us and being under a Lake Effect Snow Warning all night till 5:00 a.m. for snow plus blowing and drifting, we got a measly one inch if even that. But the wind is cold and it's going to be a day to stay inside. Of course later on the girls are going to want a walk regardless, so we will bundle up and take a short one. After this weekend we will warm back up to more seasonal 20's and low 30's again.
So this northerner is going to clean house this morning, change my bed, do a load of laundry and finish the final touches on my scrapbook. I do not plan on going anywhere today.
Mitch, I loved your pictures of the forum being down on Wednesday. That's just the way I felt too. I checked periodically all day too and nothing was happening. So glad to see it up and running again by yesterday morning. Guess it's my addiction too. Certainlyl miss my daily contact with what everyone is doing and all the happenings and my daily laughs.
Lenora, prayers go out to your DS and BIL and I am so glad to hear that your eye is doing great. I've had two surgeries done on mine too and it has made a big difference. Although I still have to wear glasses though, as I was younger when I had my first eye done. Implants were just coming out and they weren't doing them on younger folks cause they didn't know what the long term implications were at that time. So I function fine with a cateract lens in my glasses. My other eye has an implant but the vision isn't that great even with it. I had scar tissues and all that back there, so no 20/20 for me. Maybe someday it will change. Dr. said he could put an implant in my other eye now, but is reluctant to do so cause of a possiblily of blood vessels not healing properly after a second eye surgery. Calls it occuluded vision. And I don't want to run that risk either cause it's my good sight eye. And I"m also glad to hear that your scalp surgery came out so good too. Before long here, you will be off and running and all in one piece.
I'm still catching up on the forum, so if I missed anybody's happenings, adventures, etc., not intended. Right now I am going to get this body in motion and get busy. Have a wonderful day everyone.
