A visit to San Ignacio - we'd never been there

Just finished three blogs posts about our visit to San Ignacio and El Quelite (again) last Sunday. Two very interesting little towns. We'd never been to San Ignacio before. It was founded in 1531 and has a church built in the early 1600s. Met a nice family while there.
Maybe towmorrow I'll be able to get caught up.
We are both finally over THE COLD from He77. It is so nice to be feeling good again.

It's been so nice to see all the photos of the area, makes me definately want to go again. I was there many years ago with my sister. We took a local "tour" up to a mining town north of Matzatlan (it was just one taxi driver and us two girls). He showed us the leather treatment business and the brick making yard. They were ancient businesses, been treating leather and making bricks for hundreds of years both places very crude and very old. The brick production was done by just one person, he prepared the mixture then slapped it into preformed molds of old wood, slapped them out onto the ground to season in the sun. But, I have always remembered them. This taxi drives was extremely proud of them, likely having no idea how very crude they were in comparison to industrialized nations. When I saw the bricks you showed I couldn't help but think that they were very likely produced by this local brick maker. I've really been enjoying this very much. I would love to go there but I am alone and I figure it isn't smart for me to do that. Please keep those photos coming! Mucho Gracias!
