Li - All you have to do is put some fuel in Foo Foo and follow Peggy southward. Would be a great way to break her in and get some practice driving her.

Oh how I wish I could do just that; unfortunately, I still have a year of work and need to ensure I don't get fired before 31 Dec 2011. Oh how I wish I could...

Wait you work for the government.....what about vacation or comp time....... My husband worked for the state before going back into education. His supervisor always told him there were three things that could get you fired.....sleeping on the job, messing with the money or messing with time sheets/documentation.....most everything else was fixable.....

Actually, your hubby was 100% right...however, I've got but 50 weeks left and have a job that requires me to be here from now until probably April without any leave...because I teach classes. We have no substitutes for the teaching so I don't even dare to get sick. After April, I should be able to take a bit of leave. I can't take too much tho, since this is my last year. Having that leave to "sell" at the end of the year will give me the nest egg I need to survive until the Gov'mint gets my retirement settled--4-6 months on average--until then, they "give" me half of what they THINK I will earn when the retirement is finally figured out. I gotta be smart this year...much as I'd like to be there, I just can't.

Okay, we now have $62 in the bail fund. ;) ..I'm having the Sultan fill the tank in the Tundra just in case. ..and am excited to see Peggy and her friend, Jean, this next week when they stop for the night here.... :D :D Will have the camera ready for the mini-GA GTG....Joyce (Doodlelady) and her DH are still here, so Peggy & Jean will have lots of GTG practice before getting to FL.... ;) :D

BTW..... if needed, will go to the PX and get some extra red hair coloring to send along...just let me know the brand and the color number...............  And I have a call into the DS for all the words to "Gray Squirrel" to pass along for the "sing-a-long" night around the campfire.... ;)

I'll be sure to post my photos......just BE SURE to post all of yours......

If my hair gets dyed red - someone best bring the dye and be ready to do the job (I'll just sit there and hope I end up liking it :) ) - and I do think I might get away with strawberry blonde if you find that at the PX, Lori.

Yesterday, had a serious RA flare.. worse one in ages.. couldn't dress myself or walk unassisted. I live alone. A friend came over and got me up. ALL I could think about was the GTG! Thanks to the wonders of meds (by the ton),

I'm up and about today. I plan to take it very very very easy all week so I can be able to drive in a few days.

Its probably just my body's reaction to cold weather, stress, etc.. and I'll be good as new once it warms up.

My RA is such a weird illness. One day I'm out hiking, swimming, riding my bike. The next.. joints swollen like watermellons and bed ridden. I haven't been swimming in months thanks to the weather and I think that has had its impact. I'm not riding my bike as much and have gained back the 25 lbs I lost. All negative factors.

I hope to bask in the warmth and sunshine at the GTG!

I'll be praying for you Alice, that you're feeling fit and able to enjoy some sunshine at the GTG.

I can't imagine the struggle with having RA. I'm sorry.
Please take care so you can be with the gals in FL.

So far, somehow.. I'm still planning on making it to the GTG. My lifestyle usually includes hiking, swimming, bicycle riding. Right now, just getting in and out of my rig is going to be the full extent of any exercise for me and perhaps too challenging at times.

I am so hoping that once I get out of the strange northern Florida weather of rain during the day, freezing temps at night.. and to the warmer sunshine predicted in Ocala, that I will be back to normal.

As of right now, I feel I can still drive. I will break down the mere 300 mile trip to two days and stop and stretch often so the body parts stay functioning. :)

I still need to load up the rv but have decided that I can pack a lot less than originally planned. I think I will approach this as one big pajama party. Rest and sunshine.. might be all I need.

Warm thoughts and prayers for warming sunshine for you in Ocala. Sorry you are having it tough right now. Hope you feel better very soon. Take it slow and easy. I'll be glad to help you hook up if needed when you arrive.

Alice, you can stay in your jammies the whole time if you want. And if you aren't up to coming to visit us - we'll have to come visit you - when you are up for visitors. Hopefully the warmer weather will do as you think and you'll start feeling better. And like I pm'd you - don't worry about any pot luck foods either. We'll have way more than we need. We'd rather have you for a few minutes here and there when you're feeling up to it - than have you using that time to fix food then not feel good enough to visit at all. Rest, relax, and let us do for you!
