GOOD MORNING ALL!

The first thing I did this morning was look in the mirror to see how badly my nose/face might be swollen, as I ran full-force into one of my nice, clean glass sliding doors yesterday afternoon! I split the skin over the bones and cartilage, but, surprisingly, I have very little black and blue and swelling! Nothing like forgetting the door is closed----I will look for some of those decal thingies you can stick on with water so I don't do that again! The surprise of encountering an immovable surface when you are strolling along is scarier than the injury itself, I think----WHAM! What just happened??? Sigh! That rainstorm we had yesterday afternoon was just long enough to allow me to wash those doors!

Today is forecast to be nice and warm before the next cool-down, so maybe this will be the day I go to the pool and get in my January swim. So far, I have been swimming at least once each month that I have been down here. I will also go for a bike ride in between taking Molly for a long walk around the neighborhood. We avoid the pond's edge now as those stick-tight seed things get stuck all over my legs and Molly's fur, necessitating a long time to remove them all when we get back here! The last time, Molly looked like she had a huge beard around her muzzle, and she was not a happy walker!

That brief rain actually made some green grass begin growing in the front lawn again---unbelievable. This FL weather and vegetation never cease to amaze me. I have another rose getting ready to bloom, too, and it looks as if this one will be yellow. That one red rose is HUGE, and the neighbor came over to ask me what I do to get such large blooms. I do absolutely nothing! For some reason, where my father planted those flowers must be a perfect location, or something, as they have been blooming since 1982.

Glad to hear that Beth is safely here in FL now, and missed the snow and ice storm that has devastated the southeastern states once again. I hope everyone else is weathering that heavy-duty winter weather safely. The storm is now marching up the eastern coast, leaving a lot of problems in its path.

I will probably not be in the chatroom tonight as the kids plan to come and stay for the night. I am eagerly awaiting the birth of Lily the Black Bear's new cub or cubs soon, also. The new den camera is up and running, and shows that Lily is getting more and more nervous each day, which happened last year before the birth of her first, lone cub, little Hope. Hope is holed up with her this year, and we can hear her suckling very often----we are all wondering what will happen when the new sucklers are born, pushing Hope to the position of "Older sister." It will be a first for all involved in learning about wild black bears.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and tell us a bit about what is going on in your lives. Happy Tuesday!

Good Morning Soos and all,

Glad to hear that your nose is not swollen at least Soos. Hopefully it will heal itself up nicely and you won't have anymore episodes with the door again. I have heard of that happenng to other people more than once.

As to wild Black Bears, I thought that once the mother has a new set of cubs or a new cub, that the one from the previous year gets the boot once spring comes, but maybe not. I don't remember how long they stick with the mother but I don't think its long. Seems like whenever yu see a sow and her cubs in the spring, it's just her and the cubs, never another one around. Hope that camera isn't making LIly nervous.

Nothing new to report here. Pretty much same old around here this time of year. Just the routine of winter. Another snowstorm passing to my south, but we might see a few snowshowers. Hope everybody in the south is doing okay, no loss of power etc. That is a wicked storm for you folks down there and also along the eastern seaboard. It seems ironic to see more snow in someplaces in the southern states, then I have in my yard here. And I live in a "snowbelt". Keep wam and careful down there.

I am glad that I did not make plans to head south for the GTG in Ocala this year. Seems to be one storm after another rolling between Michigan and FL this winter. Even Indiana is getting hit again. And trying to get my TT uncovered and loaded in this 20 degree weather we are having would really be fun. Nope, I will sit it out this year. We shall see what happens next year.

Kathleen, I hope your friend arrived safely yesterday and didn't get mixed up with that storm. Enjoy going for the walks and each others company. Sound like you will be having fun.

Di, you wondered how I was doing up here in the north. Fine. No problems at all. As I said up above, the storms and also lake effect are going all around me. At present I have about 5 inches of snow in my yard and we should have at least a foot by now. Once the lakes (Michigan especially) freezes over, that will shut off the lake effect bands and they we will have to rely on storms for any further snow. But I don't know the extent of the ice cover right now. We are all wondering if this is going to be a repeat of last winter, where we broke an all time record for lowest snow ever recorded here, 78.7 inches. And ironically, in December of 2008, we broked the all time snow record of 70 inches for the month of December.

So today I guess I will work on my scrapbook again for awhile, now that I have the cardstock I needed to finish up a section I am working on. Might give my cousin a call and see if she's not doing anything and go over there for a bit. And of course the "girls" are going to want their daily walk.

Enough jabbering for this morning, have a good one everyone. Looking forward to hearing how all of you are doing this Tuesday morning.

Good morning all, we have about 3 inches of snow but most schools are closed. Soos every day I'm thankful you made it to FLorida you sound so happy. Sue maybe you are going to have an easy winter.
My friends little boy is in the hospital and someone brought their collie dogs in to visit all the children. When one of them got to his bed, much to his delight she hopped right in with him. The owner was mortified but his Mom assured her it was fine that he was used to his big dog at home getting into bed with him. She put a picture on Facebook & boy and dog are smiling happily.
A friend is coming over later in the morning and I'm going to make some lemon scones so best get with it.

Good-morning !! Maggie, says to tell everyone, she isn't crazy about all of this snow, she can't find anywhere where she is comfortable in doing her thing early morning. (she needs grass). This morning its hard packed and she walked on top and then all of a sudden back leg plops down and she struggles to get going again. And Sue before before you and Soos tell me to shovel her a place, thats NOT my thing  This is my second time in this amount of snow, that plans to stay for awhile and we'll make do this year. Next year ???

I still thinks its very pretty, but I like it better when it falls and gorgeous for a day and next day its half gone, no such luck this year :o  Thats the usual for this area, not this !!

Nothing news worthy around here but the weather, so time to check out. The ice is settling in on everything, and trees or limbs will be coming down, and there will go the electricity,(but I am hoping NOT) want you all to know Maggie and I, will be fine, even though you won't hear from us. I have the fireplace, lanterns, candles, and if nothing else, I have the r.v. out there with the gen and plenty of gas.

Have a Great day everyone, stay safe, warm and remember Spring is coming :)

Woke up this morning with Sophie pouncing on imaginary mice under the blankets! Funny! Actually, I think she was trying to get my attention to get fed. But it was fun while it lasted!

My roommate never came home last night, so she must be having too much fun with her new beau! Maybe they ran off to Vegas!

I work today until 2 and then will probably just clean house and pay bills this afternoon. Nothing exciting...

Hope all of you who are getting hit with the snow and ice, are safe and hunkered down until it is over! Not worth taking any chances outside!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

My bad. Sorry, but I laughed out loud at this part of the story...
Soos, I'm glad you weren't really hurt, and I'm sorry for laughing at your "pane"...

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Soo's I confess I chuckled too. Kind of a "been there, done that thing". Glad to know that you didn't break your nose or anything really bad. Got an online friend in Reno who "got in an argument" with the wood and kindling she had in the house. Her face got pretty banged up. Says whole side of her face is swollen, got a wicked black eye and no feeling in her cheek or lips on the banged up side. Says her Opt doc wont be in the office until next week as he's on jury duty. She wont go to another one either! Scares me. Said she got back at the wood and the one that tripped her went into the stove first thing the next morning!!! So she says she won the fight after all!

Lost water again yesterday and right after the water went off the damn power in the TT went out too. Well at least some of it did. Heaters didn't go out as I have them plugged into the 110 outlets on the post and not plugged into the TT. NOW??? I have power in the TT, Kelly crawled on the floor to check and reset the breakers under the bed, but I have NO hot water. ~sigh~ Gonna have to check out the damn hot water tank. Hope it's an easy fix sure can't afford much else. :(

Other than that there's nothing exciting or new to talk about. I think with not going anywhere or doing anything other than going to the store? We are having issues with "camper fever". It was so nice to take a longer run out to the other store a few days ago!!! It's just to dang chilly to sit out at the picnic table for more than a few minutes at a time. If we could at least do that it was be a change in surroundings! We're beginning to get a little irritable and grumpy. Fun! Suppose to go up to the 40's again by the end of the week. I sure hope so. ;)

OK, enough babbling, time to go check to see what's been going on.

Hope ya'll have a safe and pleasant day! Be careful in all that snow!!!

Love to all
