Thanks for all the advise, Mitch, Ava, and Nanook of the North.
Was going to make some smart remark about Mitchs advise but with the current forecast, her suggestion is actually looking better ever time weather man drops estimate on low temps. Moving is currently out of the question Ava tho that might work. Still planning to try FL for a short time later this month. Liz is supposed to be ordering warmer weather there. Nanook - will look into the socks as a more practical option.

I learned long ago that if I had socks and shoes on and my feet got cold, there was almost no warming them until I got those off. My bare feet would warm up faster... Just need to stick them in luke warm water if their cold - or put a towel in the dryer or microwave for a minute and wrap them to get them back toasty - then you can remove it.

I finally had boots that my feet didn't get cold in - but don't have them any more - so have to resort to the strange methods I use. I canNOT sleep with socks on my feet - omg, I'll wake up sweating from head to toe - no matter the temp in here lol Somehow, after falling asleep those cold feet of mine get nice and toasty.

I have a fool proof, no cost solution to cold feet. i go find wherever one of my cats is napping...then I move them, and stick my feet where their little body was. Since their temps run at about 101 to 102 degrees, they leave really warm spots under their bodies. Even better if you can convince them to stay on top of your feet...but that rarely works. This is extra good if the cat happened to be under the covers, at the bottom of the bed, cuz the heat stays put. The unfortunate part of the solution is that sometimes it's hard to find the darned cats...I know they are in the house, but they are hiding in places not accessible to my feet!!! ;) :? :D

Sarah, only solution that worked for me was once my feet got sweaty and then cold was to change my socks and shoes!!! Usually if my feet get cold all I have to do is some walking and they warm back up. Until they get cold again and then I walk a little more. At least that was worked for me while deer hunting in the winter. Wouldn't have done much good to try and carry extra boots and socks around while hunting. Dang things would have been colder than my feet!

But for around the house? Oh yeah, dry socks and shoes work great!!!!
