Let's start our day with a good morning here.

There is little chance that meteorologists can solve the mysteries of weather until they gain an understanding of the mutual attraction of rain and weekends. ~Arnot Sheppard

Good morning all,
Well, I suppose I'll put the coffee on, though I must warn you, I am banned from brewing for my husband. He is very particular about the taste, go figure . I just hope that ya'll enjoy it.

Today we have 87 days left until we pick up our TT and take it to General Butler State Park. I am so excited that I drive Joe crazy about it. I talk about it, dream about it, plan for it, buy for it. I never knew it would affect me this way, but it has. I am smitten.

My day consists of taking my elderly mother to get her first walker. I fear that she may fall and break her hip (which was her mother's demise years ago). Though my mom is very weak now, I still need her and i look forward to spending part of the day with her even if it is walker shopping.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend wherever you are and enjoy those you love and who love you. :D

Good Morning Ladies... I do not have my coffee on yet either so will do that next... I did not go get LP yesterday so I did not go to the store... got so distracted but today I am up very early and ready to button down this rig and go for a while... I may even stay in the famous WalMart parking lot for the night if things get out of hand...
Shadow cannot figure out why I am up so early it is not even 6... I did sleep better last night and I did take Shadow for his walk my ride... I met two very nice ladies that live in the mobile home section of the park... hmmm maybe I will venture out more often to the mobile home section...
I trust you all have a wonderful day what ever is happening...

Good Mornng ladies,

I see you both are up and going this mornng. I've been up since before 6:30 but have been catching up on Posts. Breakfast, what there is of it, is in my tummy already. Small glass of mild and an Adtkins bar.

I have a lunch date with a friend at noon, so don't want to stuff myself too much this morning. And my co-worker is bringing me some eggs from her "Egg factory" as I call it, over. She has about 11 chickens in her backyard.

Kathleen, you are not the only one with campground problems. Another of my co-workers has a 5er in a park near Phoenix, AZ. They are making some changes there too and the folks staying there aren't sure what is going to happen either. She says they may wind up moving. And I guess a lot of them are older and moving is going to be hard for them. Some are widowed and have been going there for years. And for her, it's going to be hard cause she doesn't drive the truck except to and from work here and it stays here when she goes down there. So if she has to move, she will have to find somebody to move it. Her income is very tight too and at the moment she is stil here in Michigan. Can't afford to fly back this fall cause of major extensive work that had to be done on her truck. Blew her savings account. So she's trying to figure out what to do. Neds to get out there but has to figure out how.

Pookie, where is General Butler State Park. I do remember hearing of it, but I can't remember for the life of me, where it is. You workamping there for the summer or what?

Well, I'm off to get my day going. Hair washing on tap for first thing here and then going to work on my scrapbook for a bit. Going to take it along to lunch as my friend wants to see the pics and such from my summer adventures. She loves to camp too and keeps saying she and hubby should get an RV.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. As to Pete's leg lamp. ACK!!! here too. I concur with the rest of you ladies. Definitely a guy thing :)

Have a great day everyone.

Well, it's Friday! For some of you that's just another day in the week, but for us poor working women it's the portal to 2 days of personal time. Seems like this week flew, which is a good thing when you're still working too.

It's been a good week here at school. The kids have worked hard, been cooperative, and generally enjoyed school & each other -- all good in teacher terms. The work never ends, and we're in for some pretty intense months as we prepare for the state-mandated tests in May (and state school inspection -- a long story). But we'll get through it.

I was slicing some of that wonderful artisan bread I've been making and somehow my left thumb got in the way ... I made a nice, deep slice on the end & now have about a half-inch gash in the tip of it. Bled like a stuck pig, and although I can handle blood, somehow the comination of blood and the pain are often a combination that turns me into a total wimp. Had to sit down quickly with a paper napkin on it to get it to stop bleeding and keep from passing out. After about 20 minutes I took a peek and it seemed to quit. So I went upstairs, got some neosporin and a couple of band-aids and taped it up.

I'd forgotten that I'd unlocked my front door earlier in the evening & in all of the confusion didn't lock it back up before going to bed. When I got up this morning & went downstairs the door was ajar (thanks to the constant wind we have). Guess my guardian angel was looking over me. Sheesh ...

My thumb is really, really sore & is still bleeding a bit, but I think I'll live. I'm sure they wouldn't put a stitch in it due to where & how I cut it. I'll just have to be a big girl & tough it out.

Nothing like a little excitement, huh? ;)

GOOD MORNING LADIES!

I'm back in St. Cloud at the trailer, but came inside to use this WiMi card for a minute. It was a cold night here again, but not freezing, so Molly and stayed warm under my sleeping bag with no furnace running. Today is sunny and getting warmer by the hour.

Hope you manage to get your gas today, Kath, and that you find some neat people to hang out with at the park.

Laura, you need to keep that finger dry and tightly wrapped until it begins to heal...no peeking! But, definitley change the bandage if it gets dirty or needs some more antibiotic ointment. Tightly wrapping can act like butterflying it shut.

Time for me to get going here and do something useful, like trying to again organize the trailer for the upcoming GTG and plan a menu and shopping list for that shindig. I hate to cut this short, but I have been downloading some new ringtones for my new phone, and I am way beyond wasting time!

Hope everyone has a decent day doing something fun. Coffee still tastes good---thanks!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Ahhhhh sunshine! I'm loving it. Woke up this morning to the sound of a ? waterfall, geyser? Thought "Oh crap". ~sigh~ Got up, dressed, pottied then Shade and I went out the door. While she was doing her thing I walked around between the trailers and YEP, had one heck of a mini geyser at the faucet for our trailer and the other neighbor. Shade was done so put her in the house and walked across the back lane to let Brent the maintenance man know. He asked me what I had done now? Told him that I hadn't had anything else to do, was bored and didn't want him to get bored so I had went out and kicked the water connection as hard as I could. He said, "Well thanks for thinking of me!" It was a quick easy fix for him today. The 'Y' connection had wore out and given up. So he changed it out and I'm back in the water business. He says he's been running ragged fixing all the leaks here this winter. That deep freeze we had took it's toll on the water system here in the park.

It was predicted to only be in the mid 30's today but already the weather site and my thermometer says it's in the 40's!!! As long as the sun is shining so good Kelly and I are gonna hit the showers and get all over clean!! YIPPIE! Those ? bird bathes we've been taking work but the idea of a complete shower is beyond bliss! :D
Asked Brent if I could borrow a shovel to clean and scrape the ice off of the concrete pad and he said it was OK. Be kinda nice to walk outside and not worry about landing on my butt. It's got lots of padding but dag nab it, still hurts when it hits!

Other than showers and shoveling ice there's nothing much else going on. Such is our extremely exciting life1 ;) Got to go do some catching up on the postings and find out what, who Pete is and learn about the bruise.

Hoping ya'll have a super good day and please stay safe!!

Love to all

Sue

General Butler State Park is in Carrollton Kentucky where the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers meet. It's about 40 minutes northeast of Louisville, where we live. Not workamping, just visiting.

Sue often writes one post and copies it for both this forum and the single's forum. Pete is on the singles forum - and that's what that lamp is about.
