Both are nice...but I like the closets in the bedroom in the 287.

I like both, but would probably prefer the one w/o the island. As far as color schemes, I love the Sedonna and the Lifelong is a close second.

They are pretty...I like the 287 as well....the layout just seems to flow better for me.

They are both really nice units. I also vote for the 287 model. It really is fun "looking". Linda

I like the floorplan of the 287RLS. Being it has a sofa and also two reclining chairs makes it nice if you have visitors plus one person can relax on the sofa if they want and one in the recliner, or both in the recliner. I think having just a sofa and one chair as the 280RLS has might get kind of old in a hurry.

Also like the kitchen layout better in the 287RLS. It looks like thee is more sink space then the 280 has. Give yu much more room in the center of the trailer to move around or even put the able there if you wanted to. Love that bathroom in the bedroom. Split bath is really nice. Each can do his/her own thing.

I don't have mini blinds in my little TT. Just curtains. But to tell you the truth, there are days when I wish i had mini blinds especially around the bed area. I have a front window and the curtains hand straight down despite the fact that the trailer wall is at a bit of an angle. So I took Cedar's advice and put a curtain rod across the botom to keep it up against the wall. Same for the window over my bed. That curtain can be a pain sometimes as it's right where my pillow goes. Still looking into some kind of attachment to keep it against the wall too. That's where the mini blind would be nice. So I guess it's a matter of personal choice as to which a person wants. I have heard others say they hate the mini blinds, but not why. Maybe some day, when I have a TT or something with them, I will find out. I do have one set over my kitchen sink, due to the stove being there. But I keep them up and out of the way except at night.

I wish our TH had mini blinds instead of the pull down shade. There's no way to peek out unless you raise the thing all the way across! Not that I peek a lot, mind ya! But if I hear a noise, I want to be able to see what's out there, might be something I need to get a pic of for you gals.

Right Vicki, always keeping us in mind huh? As long as you tell us, if you do see something interesting ;)

Blinds are a pain in the ------- to clean. Plus in a MH, they could be noisey, I don't think it would matter what they were made of.

Lori, I liked the 287 too. Sure hope you do, and that we aren't changing your mind. You know, I was thinking, we have to wait for some time to find out what your answer might be don't we? (not sure I'm going to be able to stand that, nosey and all as I am  ) Are you trying to join the mean group on this forum?

I know you're more anxious then any of us. Thank you for giving us something to check out. I'd never haul a 5th wheel, but loved looking at them and they do have so much room in them. I liked both those choices, but when you see them, you'll know.

CArol :)

The living/kitchen layout of the 287 is similar to the last 5er we had. One word..lay down on the sofa! The one in our 5er wasn't much longer than a loveseat!! It did pull out into a bed that I would call twin sized.

We are leaning toward the 287....as it better fits us and the sofa does have a hide-a-bed...not those jack sofas like we have now   ...and the 2 easy chairs/recliners....I hate mini blinds cause they are hard to clean.....much rather take curtains down and wash them.....and yes, the open kitchen floor helps cause when the Sultan cooks, he always had to have me help with something....  Ernie still has a few things he wants to check out...such as the awning length....hoping it has a 17ft. one cause we have our screen room and want to keep it and use it.....and other "outside person" stuff.... ;) (I'm the "inside person"... ;) ) Thanks for all your input...will probably go look again when we get back to PA in May.....and decide then....will keep you posted.... ;)
