Oh, how I wish you guys could have known George even just a few years ago. What a guy...kept me interested for almost 40 years, and I'm 21 years his junior...I miss him.

As to ass in flames - was in an office with my then significant other and a couple members of the band he was in. My fav member of that band and his g/f were there - we were all bored out of our minds - so that band member started asking if anyone could fart on call. Everyone looked at him and I said, somehow I think YOU can. Would rather not smell it - could you prove it another way? He took out a lighter, changed positions, and lit it. The flame went out a long ways. Needless to say, the secretary waiting to get us into her boss's office couldn't get rid of us fast enough. My so was embarassed. I was laughing too hard, had tears running down my face.

I always appreciate the new members that admit to having been "lurking" around a while before they join......They can't really say they were not warned of the diversity of our group and our thirst for humor in life (the other heavy stuff finds us all on its own )...the humor provides some bright spots and some a little more twisted

Bless your heart Mitch. I can't say I know how you feel because I have been blessed by not having anyone I know affected by this terrible disease. I just know you miss the old George, and wish I could have known him then because I really like the George that I met in Arkansas.
I know it won't help, but remember and cherish the good memories and the silly memories. May God bless you and sustain you as you take this journey.
Looking forward to seeing both of you in Florida.

ME? I am NEVER cold (God and his menopausal wisdom...)
But George, on the other hand - 80 year-old guy without an ounce of excess flesh on his bones...not so much.
