Happy 2011 everyone! I did say "black rabbits" for 10 seconds before the ball dropped, then said "white rabbits"for 10 seconds afterwards. So from me to you, here's wishing you lots of white rabbits for 2011!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, LADIES!!!

Happy New Year Everyone !!!! We have a brand new year to start all over, whatever we would like to do. More memories, more adventures, more friends. Even though we can't be personally on the road, one of our Sistah's will take us to exciting places, we will see so many places, be a part of so much fun. This group shares everything, our good times and our bad times. We are all Sistah's on here, so none of us are ever alone, we always have someone to share our lives with. So we are starting this New Year, already way ahead on having one of the best years ever. So I wish every single one of you a Blessed New Year. may you enjoy good health, and enough wealth to travel and find Joy in living each day of this New Year. I feel so Blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group of ladies, Thank you.

I didn't say Rabbits, I said Happy New Year to Maggie instead, I never remember to say it, gosh!!!!

Safe and Happy Travels to us all,
CArol :)

Happy New Year!! I wish all good things for everyone. Many good memories from 2010 and looking forward to new adventures in 2011.

I had not planned on being up this late, but you know how it is, I got planning my route to FL for the GTG and kept looking at one page, then another and then another book and then the fireworks started popping and I went out to watch the fireworks. We aren't that far from the Fiesta Park in San Antonio so we could see the fireworks that they were shooting and I think some from around the River Walk were going up, too. Was really pretty, cold but pretty.

To paraphrase Anne of Green Gables, 2011 is a new year with no mistakes in it.

Happy unmarred new year, with all of its potential for "wisdom" (which of course comes from making mistakes!).

Good Morning and a Very Happy New Year to you all. We have reached another year. Time to start anew. My wish for all of you is that you have a great and fullfilling year. That upcoming travels, trips etc. are all you hope them to be, that you find new and exciting adventures wherever the road leads you. Those of you waiting for upcoming surgeries, that the Lord's healing powers come upon you, that your recoveries are swift and you can look forward to new and exciting adventures and enjoy once again those things you might not be able to at the moment. Those looking for work, those wanting to sell homes and start a new life, those looking for a new rig, those hoping to retire etc., may this year fullfill all your hopes and dreams and be all you hope it to be..

Cloudy and still mld here at the 45th. Going to get a reapid cool down this morning though and should have the white stuff flying around later today. We have been in a major thaw for tthree days now and have for all practical purposes, lost our snow except for areas where it was drifted of piled by blowers or plows. My yard is almost completely bare of the white stuff. Hmm, maybe I should go walk over to that beach and see if that little memory stick is around, but after all the melting and drizzle, it won't be worth anything anyway. Yesterday the girls and I were able to walk back in the woods here as there was only about an inch of snow. Felt great.

Today is going to be kind of a laid back day. Will watch some TV, maybe a parade and work on camping scrapboook some more. Probably take a dog walk later depending on weather. Just going to enjoy doing not much of anything for the first day of this year. Have a wonderful first day of 2011 everyone. :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL WOMEN RV FRIENDS OUT THERE...
I did stay up but did not watch the ball drop... we will be 75 again today so maybe the weather will settle down a bit... I will be looking this month for another park to move to... this one is dead as a doornail... would like to at least see people to talk to... I will either move to another park or wander around not sure just what now...
My son is back in the hospital... this time they think it is his kidneys...
Enjoy this day my friends...
Kathleen

Happy New Year to all! I, too, wish this to be a wonderful year for each and every one of us. Since we know there will be some trials and tribulations - let them be minor. Kathleen - it looks like your son is starting out with one of them. So hope that they can find the problem and he will soon be well and up and about. Also, Kathleen, I think you need to think about spending more and staying somewhere with activities, etc - as that seems to be something that would keep you busy and happy. I didn't partake of very many of the activities when I stayed at the park in Port Aransas, TX - but I loved that they were there - and they do allow for you to meet and become parts of so many other groups. There was always something going on. I remember Jean stayed at a park in FL for a month one winter and enjoyed partaking of some of their activities. Don't remember which one it was - but there are lots of them. Good luck in finding one that will be a better fit for you. That might be your first goal of 2011.

I was hoping to see the fireworks planned for here in Huntsville- however the rains and storms came in long before midnight. So I watched the ball drop in NY at 11, then rewatched it when they replayed it at midnight. After that, Peaches and I hunkered down and listened to the rain and thunder off and on all night. I love the sound of the rain, but a couple of the blasts of thunder were a little closer than I would have liked. Guess not too close, as no damage I can see around the park here. That's a good thing.

Again Happy New Year to all

Happy New Year, I hope it is extra wonderful for all of us.
We actually went out to dinner without a reservation and had no problem getting seated immediately. I was doubtful but at 6:30 it wasn't overly busy at any of the places we passed on the way to the 17th Street Bar B Que. You may have seen the owner on TV I know he has been on The Morning Show a couple of times and on Regis & Kelly. He's also been in a number of magazines. The food was wonderful.
Enjoy your day.

It is still morning here. I got up to snow on the ground, probably about 1 inch. So we have a White New Year. Watched the Rose Parade. Tried to find Barbie, but no luck. I have been to the Rose Parade three times. We were the type that got there the night before so we could sit right on the curb. We brought sleeping bags to keep warm. It was quite an experience.

Hope everyone has a prosperous and healthy New Year.

Happy New Year Ladies
It was a great night and a new beginning with new friends. Had a ladies celebration
with a couple of margaritas, some fireworks and champagne at midnight and lots of
lady talk. That was the hard part cause all three of us don't want to shut up! It was
fun and funny all at the same time. So, needless to say I wasn't driving home and
taking any chances of getting pulled over and then as it turned out I felt drunk when
I woke up so I was probably drunk when I went to bed but didn't know it. Coffee, blueberry
muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast and of course two bottles of water to help flush
out the system and get myself back together and we watched a movie called "The Secret"
actually it was more like a documentary but very thought provoking and who would have
thought I'd been living the secret for many years and didn't even know it.
I wish only the best for every one of you in this coming year, it is going to be a great year!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! (again)

I am so hoping that this New Year of ours turns out to favor all of us! Of course there's some rough times ahead, there always is. But in the balance of it all just maybe the scales will tip to the better!!!

It is so freaking cold here!!! We've been under a deep freeze. Camp ground manager said that temp night before last went down to either 6 or 6.5 below 0. Last night on Shade's last trip out the door I looked at the thermometer and it was 5.5 below 0. That was about 2am or so. Have no idea how low it ended up getting? I was very uncomfortable sleeping last night, my *^%#*^ feet froze. They were cold when I went to bed so ended up wearing fuzzy socks to bed which is an extreme rarity for me. But they got even colder during the night! CRAP!!! Kelly was complaining badly last night/this morning that she was froze when she went to bed that the Mom in me took the blanket I had over my legs and feet while sitting here and put it over her when I went to bed. I 'thought' I would be OK once I got under my blankets. Dummy me!!! I don't know how many times I woke up cause my feet were froze? I did get up once to go potty but it was so very cold in here that I didn't take the time or bother to dig out another blanket to toss on. Nope, went back to bed and suffered! Gads!!! It's NOT suppose to be quite as cold tonight but let me tell ya I will be digging another blanket out anyway and I will put it on the bed!!!! It is suppose to start warming up to the low 30's during the day and high teens during the night later this week. Bring it on!!! Will feel like a heat wave compared to the past few days!!!!!

We have no water. New neighbor who moved in last week across the lane in front of us has come back after moving in and disappearing for a few days. He and his female companion started to clean the used, new to him 5'er he bought. Well his water hose is insulated but the campground water supply pipe, T and faucet aren't. It was just fine when it wasn't being used. But when he started running water thru it to clean and then we got this deep freeze??? Well it froze and blew a fountain late yesterday afternoon after the sun had it warmed it up enough. By time the manager and maintenance guy got back from getting parts it was just to dark and cold to fix it. He was already frozen enough cause altho he had changed his clothes he got soaked farting around with the thing He's out there now working on it. I feel really bad for him having to be out in this cold working on cold steel pipe and any water!!

Even tho it's still freaking cold outside? The sun is up high enough to hit the camper and it's starting to warm up just a tiny bit in here!!! Kelly even has an arm and shoulder uncovered!!

Hmmmm? With the cold, a truck not wanting to move again and no water???? I don't think my new year is starting out so good.... I can only hope it gets better! It's my heartfelt wish that everyone else so far has been having a good day! Enjoy it and please do so safely!!!

Love to all

HAPPY NEW YEAR...
May each and everyone of my Sistah's on here be blessed throughout this following year, with family, friends and safe travels.
We have our family reunion this year...so no big trip planned. Seems odd not be doing that...planning a big camping trip. I have for the last 3 years, as our last family reunion was in Arizona..so we combined trip/family reunion. We do a family reunion every other summer. This summer is in Boise, Idaho. So I will just be pulling the trailer to my brother's driveway. Best RV site in Meridian, Idaho.

We do plan to downsize the trailer this year...
This is one that I have found that I want to look at...have to make it to an RV show and hope they have some.
http://www.northwoodmfg.com/arctic/model.php?id=78

We want something under 26ft, we have loved having the bigger trailer, but we have also had to deal with the to big for many state parks. When we bought it we knew that and at first I was like..that is okay. There are other parks. I did not realize how much I would miss not being able to get into some state/national parks. I think in part it is because we have friends that still tent camp/tent trailers. We miss out on joining them for camping trips.

Now I just have to decide..do we try and sell our trailer ourselves or do we just trade it when we find the new one. Which I hope to get done in March.
