The colors this year are just great. This is Deerview, one of the cabins at Kaibab Lodge.

That is a really pretty photo
Fall can have awesome colors can't it?
Some times I can't help but envy those with the hard wood tree's but truth be known you get the yellow of the aspens and toss in some of the reds that we have here it is in deed pretty

Root canal over! Gwen and I went to lunch, then shopping. then we went for a hike. so you know I'm feeling fine. This is Roxie (alien eggs being stolen from her, remember) Gwen and me lollygagging across them. Thats the Vermillion Cliffs in the background.

I was just thinking about the aspen today and here you have posted pics. Thank you
for that, now about that group picture, which one is you? I have next week off from
school and was thinking about a drive up to the grand canyon just to get out and do
something for a day. I'm sure is cold at night now but is it still warm in the day or
is definately sweats weather?

Ava, I'm the old one in the middle! If you come wear layers. there was frost all over the cars and grass this morning. I started off with a winter coat with a hood. One hour later a sweater, later still sweater tied round my waist and I'm in a sleeveless tee. Now at night the layers are going back on. The Aspens are hard to predict. Last year I kept thinking I need a photo of Deerview, when I finally got around to it, all the leaves were black.

I sure remember doing the layer routine in my Colorado days, but have wanted to
take a little day trip during my week off. I'm thinking Grand Canyon or Payson,
either one, Payson is closer and just as beautiful and its only a day trip cause
I'll be leaving the dogs home by themselves. Grand Canyon would be a longer
day trip, I'll be checking the five day weather report and see what things look
like.
