Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Christmas Morning Coffee

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Gads it's only 6:11am cmt! What is billy blue blazes am I doing up opening the coffee room??? :o  I am in no way prepared for an influx of morning visitors wanting coffee and goodies. Is it possible to have a breakfast potluck??? I sure hope so... ;)

Went to bed at about midnight and here I am, up and wide awake! Have no freaking idea why? No clatter of hooves from 8 tiny reindeer. No rattle or russel, or HO HO HO's, no sleigh bells jingle jangling and no youn'ins breathlessly asking to get up and tear into the wrapping paper. Oh why am I awake??? sheesh :? Of course once I started moving around and sat up Shade had to attack me for her morning rubbings and scratchings. Then started nagging to go outside to do her business. AAARRRGGGHHH So got dressed and out the door we went. I will say that it's warmer outside now that what it was last night. Temp has risen and the wind is gone. :D

Well I have a 4 cup coffee pot with one freshly brewed pot of coffee and if ya'll come in shifts I might be able to handle it as the little thing doesn't take long to brew it's aromatic life saving nectar. But ya got to bring goodies!! Camp ground manager brought around little tiny plates of goodies last eve for everyone. Had 2 slices of pumpkin bread on our and 6 small pieces of fudge! YUM Sure did make my mouth water for more.

Ok gonna clear off some more of this little table so ya'll got somewhere to rest your elbow while drinking, eating and yakking!

Merry Christmas to all of my SISTAHS. You are much loved and appreciated. Thank you so much for being here!!!!

Love to all
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Good morning and Merry Christmas
coffee is so good, thank you Echo, I actually slept in and the girls even LET me.
However,, unfortunately I have a sore throat this morning and suppose to go
over with DD to have breakfast with the rest of the family and do the Xmas
thing with the grandsons and son. Think I'll pop some aspirin and some vitamins
and hope for the best. I haven't had a cold in many years and if this one settles
in, it could be a doosey. Right now it just feels like its in my throat but my sinuses
feel fine so we'll see how the day wears on. Took a container of the Sani-wipes in
to work yesterday thinking about all the extra germs floating around and sure
enough, wouldn't ya know this is the day I feel them.
We have really bright sunshine this morning and just a little dew, enough to give
the air a slight chill but all in all, it should warm up nicely. Have to be to work
around 3 but I do expect it to be really slow today.
Time for a second cup and then I'll do a long soaking bath, bubbles included :D
Bless all of you and hope you make some memorable moments today.

Good morning Ladies! I hope your Christmas Day brings you lots of friends (like ya'll here), family and food... My present to myself was to finish that darned book I wrote about earlier this week. Pulled an all-nighter and finished it at 0530 this morning! I think the last time I stayed up all night, there was aclohol involved! :o Right now I'm working on ony 4 hours sleep...gotta get more...the cats are totally outta whack...one of them was running around like a crazy girl about 0430...very confused they are... :o  :o

The second Snow-ma-geddon which was on again, off again, all week, looks like it's on again. I'm supposed to head up to Richmond this afternoon for Christmas dinner with friends. Got the ham (good VA sugar cured), big bottle of wine, and chocolate flake truffles to take up there. But we'll have to see how the day progresses. I certainly don't want to get stuck driving home alone in the dark with snow on I-95. Already seeing large flakes flying around...nothing to get excited about yet.

So I'm heading back to bed and will see what it looks like later... Merry Christmas to all y'all (that's a Central VA saying ya know...combined with both hands gesturing in flat circles to indicate the inclusion of the masses of y'all...hahaha!)

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

It's another nice sunny day here in FL, and about 13 degrees back home. I just downloaded Mario Lanza's "Oh Holy Night" to play booming loud over the phone for my brother, as that's how my father used to always wake us up Christmas morning.....brought back some very poignant memories for both of us. We had a stereo set that would literally fill this house, as he was working in radio and TV and always managed to get the very top of the line sound stuff at a huge discount price. I once shattered an antique vase on our mantel (mantle?) while playing "Battle Hymn of the Republic" by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!

Today I will wait for it to warm up a bit more, and then pedal my bike to the clubhouse for a quick dip in the pool, so I can say I went swimming on Christmas Day! Then into the spa I will get to warm up!

Have a wonderful day, everyone, and enjoy it all.

I know why you are up Echo you are still looking for that Western Union message!! :D Thank you for the coffee and goodies... I have spare ribs all cooked drained and baby back ribs sauce on them... they should be tasty at the gathering this afternoon...
Have a good day what ever you do... be it with family, friends or alone...

Merry Christmas to everyone! :)

It's a sunny day here in So. CA & it looks like it'll stay that way until tomorrow. My kitties are enjoying my lap (well, my legs -- the laptop gets the lap) & Jed is once again snoring quietly on his bed next to my recliner.

I hope you all have a wonderful day -- whatever you choose to do.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I'm sitting in a motel room with a cup of coffee in San Jose. The MH is at the mechanics at home being repaired. I had an offer of a single bed for Sammie and me, but the last time we tried it, we didn't sleep well. Too small. So that's why I'm in a motel.

Well, I better get my act together and get back to the "madhouse". It should be fun watching kids open presents.

Merry Christmas Women RVers and families! I've got snow - over two inches and it's still coming down fast and furious. They are now saying we're in a winter storm - and 4-5 inches are possible. At the rate this is already coming down, I wouldn't be surprised to see more. I've changed my plans from hospital and visiting Jean and possibly meeting Sarah for dinner - to most likely doing nothing but sitting inside and enjoying the beauty. Peaches had a nice romp in this already and we'll do that again. I also took a bunch of pictures. Hundreded of birds here - think they are all robins. I am so used to being up north and the robins migrated south. I can hear these birds talking to each other saying "Hey, we've got to go further south next year".

I hope you are all having a wonderful day - and whatever you're doing/where ever you are - keep the spirit of Christmas with you and inside you.

Kathleen - the time showing on your computer will be the time you have the forum set as - you probably have it set as Central time. Therefore all our computers have different times on them. YOu could have let it stand. We would have understood.

rriverstone - moved your other messages to the general room. We keep to one Morning thread per day - so could merged them - but thought they'd get more viewings as stand alones - and everyone looks at that room. Great posts!

Merry Christmas to all - and to all a good day! GREAT day - FABULOUS day -

Good morning all
Just a quick check in this morning to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
As Beth mentioned we have SNOW!!! It is the heavy, wet kind and the smaller trees and bushes are bent over with tops touching ground. The first white Christmas here since the 1960s! It is beautiful but was a surprise as only the possibility of a dusting was forecast. I live on a steep hillside and have an even steeper driveway so I'm staying in today; don't want to take chance of not being able to get back up here. Like Beth, I had told Jean my visit would be weather dependent today; same with having early dinner with Beth. We will just do our Christmas dinner another day, I guess. I'm one of those people who doesn't know how to drive in snow/ice so for the safety of others as well as myself I rarely even attempt it. Hard to believe I was cleaning leaves out of driveway yesterday afternoon.
The dogs were really funny when I let them out this morning. Snow didn't slow Lizzie down a bit but Nicky ran to edge of porch and put on the breaks. He wasn't about to get in the white stuff. Wasn't until about the 3rd trip out that he actually followed her off porch.
Hope each of you has a wonderful day whatever you may be doing for Christmas.

Good morning everyone and Merry Christmas!

Got woken up in the middle of the night by Sophie. Something startled her and she flew off the bed, her back foot digging into my ankle as she fled! So I got up to find 4 nice big bleeding scratches across my ankle! Finally got them to stop bleeding and went back to bed. She is such a paranoid cat! Any little noise or movement gets her freaked out! Woke up with her purring next to me this morning tho!

The sun is shining and I am laying here in bed sipping some hot French Vanilla Cappucino with French Vanilla marshmallow snowmen floating in it. Yum! Sitting here reminiscing about past Christmas mornings (not all that long ago!) where I would anxiously get up and go thru my Christmas stocking that my mom had spent all night putting together and wrapping each individual thing for it. Sure miss those days! Sure miss my mom! I called my brother's house last night where they were having their party and talked to my dad and both of my brothers, so that was nice. Went to a nice, small Christmas Eve church service last night too.

Gotta get up and get ready now to take a drive out to the ocean and spend the day on a beach somewhere! Will take lots of pics! Not supposed to rain until late tonight or tomorrow. (I start my new job tomorrow! Yay!)

Hope you all have a great day and stay safe, warm and happy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

We have a beautiful white Christmas this morning, all the trees are frosted with snow and it looks so pretty. We are going out as I think the roads are clear. For the first time we are going to my younger brothers house for Christmas. I'm looking forward to it as niece and nephews will be there. My DH bought me the beautiful leather boots I lusted for and they are too narrow :( That's what I get for wearing Birkenstocks for so many years.
Well I started this early but was distracted and forgot to hit submit so it is after noon now.

BJ...know what you mean...my feet refuse to travel in styles that they put up with in younger years.....now the toes or whole foot says "just what ARE you thinking...." sign.... then again I don't have to worry about finding stylish foot wear at anytime these days....women's size 12th are mostly functional if they can be found at all  AN the hiking and snow boots come from the men's racks....sign  but if the feet are happy I am happy :)
