Beth, do you even own a snow scraper?

Last year, we had about a 1" dusting. Neighbor came over with his huge tractor and its box blade scraper and scraped off that dastardly 1" of snow! Southerners just aren't used to it! I chuckled during the day, and then cursed him that night - the slush he created with the scraping turned to solid ice!! No way to safely walk down the driveway...too funny. Heck, I'm from Chicago - this Southern cold snap is like early Spring to me.

Oh Mitch, I've wanted to visit the Blue Marlin forever. However, I'm headed south as soon as I can - and my first stop will be Huntsville. If it wasn't for the weather, you'd get me. Plus, I do NOT want to infringe anywhere during the holidays. I'm going to be lying low all week next week. My neighbor here might come down also, as getting off early, she needs to waste time also.

I'm actually enjoying the beauty of this. If we have to have this really cold weather, the snow is a plus for me - as I think it's GORGEOUS. That said both my black and grey tanks are frozen right now. Ha. Luckily I figured on that happening and will be fine till they thaw, or even till Monday if I want to wait to dump them on the way out.

The inside of this rig, though? OMG, it's never been this much of a mess. I'll be working all day Sunday to be able to be road-worthy on Monday (Probably will take about an hour - this place is so small - but looks and feels like so much worse!)

Really pretty picture, Beth. Doesn't look like you have the amount of snow there as I do here, why, I'm farther south? Hate to hear your tanks are frozen, did you by chance put some anti-freeze in the bottom of both, that might have helped. I've done that as I have been in bad weather in mine several times, one time in Co. got caught for over a week and it helped that time. The snow drifts were up touching the bottom of my tanks at that time.

So sorry to hear about your co worker. This can be a sad month for many reasons, but an end of a life , seems harder at this time to bear. Liz, have been wondering where you've been, my goodness, 3 funerals. Who from your church pasted?

I love the idea of you in your Kayak on the picnic table for the calendar for next December,Beth, would be a good laugh for all of us, while suffering through housebound days.
