Maybe Ava's eaten a persimmon "straight" and will be able to answer. I've had them made into breads, like banana or pumpkin bread. Very tasty that way. Don't know if I'm brave enough to eat one plain. I know they're used in salads sometimes ...

Barbie, I loved your Christmas bowl, you did a good job, especially being your first one. The pictures of your trip there are really pretty, looked like you had a great day. I'm so glad. Sarah, no Angier is over in the eastern part of N.C. , south of Releigh. Looks to be a small town, probably a neat area to go and investigate
