Welcome Lee, and congratulations on your new rig and your retirement. I just joined this group in Sept and have already met three of the ladies, you can get good advice on anything RVing or anything else, for that matter. BTW, I am Wendy from ALa. I have a Mh about your size (2005), a Cocker Spaniel who travels and a cat who doesn't!!! PS, I see I spelled your name wrong. Please excuse, I don't want to type whole thing over!

Can't wait to hear the stories you'll have to tell around the campfire!

Welcome, Li, glad to have you with us. Lovely rig you are about to pick up.

Don't want to repeat everyone, but will just say, jump right in anywhere you please. And, yes, when you have questions, ask. There are no dumb questions, but sometimes there are some pretty dumb answers :) Well, dumb is a bad word - let's say different :)

Welcome Li, You have had plenty of adventure in your work taking you all over the world...now you are about to start a brand new adventure getting to know your great country...I'm new also, these girls are fun, smart, interesting, and always adventurous. Looking forward to seeing pics of your new Winnebago. I looked at one a few years ago but went with another used Class C that fit the budget better.

Welcome Li, I'm thinking you could entertain us all for some time around the campfire with all of your travels. Hope I'm at one of them one day. Now as to traveling and really seeing this country , you are at the right place. You have just joined a group of Sistahs, all over, so wherever you go, you will have a friend. Any problems or questions you have, ask away,we have someone here, who can help you. You have the most interesting avatar. Looking forward to meeting you one day.

Safe and Happy travels,
CArol :)

Taking a video camera is a good idea. No matter how long you've done this RVing stuff each rig can be really different. You don't want it to be late at night you're trying to remember how to turn something on or off.

Glad to know you travel with 3 cats and not the camel in your avatar.   You had me going there for a while.

Gosh, I have stumbled into the Gold Mine of Traveling Sistahs! How lucky is that! Thank you for all your welcomes! Just by way of explanation on the avatar, this young man is a 2-year-old camel named Uncle Sam. I met him on the Giza Plaza last year behind the Great Pyramid in Cairo. What can I say, I just cannot resist a man with long dark eyelashes and big brown eyes! (however, his teeth and breath were apocryphal to say the least! But maybe that was appropriate considering we were standing near 3000 year old pyramids???)

I wish I had a working video camera...but I plan to take the snap camera and a notebook to scribble, scribble, and scribble some more. The good news is that the dealership is about 25 miles away; they've said I can call anytime or come by...so I will be holding them to that...if I've learned anything working for the Gov'mint, it's stick-to-it-tiveness!!!! And I have all of you too! Again, thanks for the warm welcomes...I feel like I've been a member for a long time inside of just a few days! ;)

Well let me add to the Welcome here too!!!

Haven't googled your rig yet but I will have to after hearing the raves! You being in VA isn't all that far from Lori and the Sultan. They are in GA, but I forget the name of the place. They are camp hosting at a military camp park. You'll have to get them to tell you about it.

So glad you found us, we're a pretty good bunch of women. Well almost all of us are anyway. :D :D :D We do have a couple of dufus's here. They're lovable as all get out but they sometimes can get carried away. 8-)

Welcome again

Just how it should be. Sometimes people think we don't accept new people. We sure do - this group would grow stagnant without the constant influx of newbies to the family. And we ARE a family. And you ARE a member :)

Welcome Li! I'm just now catching up with the newbies. I'm stil a newbie myself. Didn't join here till last April. Wantd to buy a TT, hadn't pulled one before although did have a popup with my folks. Had pulled numerous boat, snowmobile etc. trailers. Asked a lot of questions, got a lot of different answeres  But also a lot of great ideas, suggestions, help etc. Have gotten to know the in's and out's of this group pretty well now and all I can say is they are the most caring people in the world. So ask all the questions you want. Somebody always knows something to add to the answers. And join us aruond the Campfire. Always a lot of discussing going on there. If you are an early riser. Morning Coffee is another great place.

I found my TT, made 6 trips (short 2 day) camping on my days off from my job at a local state park and love it. Hope to be able to take it on a longer trip eventually to see if I want to RV perhaps part time or something. LIve in MI and love it here, so don't want to relocate anyplace else. Still like winters, so haven't had the bug to snowbird yet. At least till March anyway.

Going to enjoy hearing of your RV adventures and seeing pics once you learn how to post them here.
