RABBITS WED., DEC. 1st!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

RABBITS WED., DEC. 1st!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's late and nobody has started the coffee yet, so guess I'll put on some vanilla cream flavored brew. What a difference a day makes----I spent all yesterday afternoon swimming in the club pool and sitting in the sun and spa, and today I am back at Goog's sitting on his porch in my jeans and fleece jacket! The cold front woke me up when it came through just at dawn, and I had to jump out of bed and close the slider windows on the west side of the trailer, where the wind and rain were beating through. Forecast is for some places to get temps in the 30s tonight, and then just get to the 60s the following day. Of course, the 60s for me is just fine!

I finally got my online account with Orange County Utilities straightened out, the repair man tried to repair my washer one more time----said to not use it for 24-48 hours while the silicone repairs set. If this doesn't work, I guess I'd better start saving for one I find at the auction/garage sale places.

I did remember to shout RABBITS this morning when I got up in the night once. I hope it works!

I don't have any plans for today, other than maybe taking my chairs to the other house and then coming back here to load up the table when Goog gets home. Although, we could them all in the truck tonight when he gets home, and then he will stop on his lunch hour from Disney tomorrow to help me get it into the house. That would be the smarter thing to do, as it would save gas. Yep....today will be a rest day, I guess. I might go shopping for some groceries as I got paid yesterday and can now afford to eat!

Molly and I will go for a walk along the lakefront first, and I will swing past the auction house just to see what they might have for some little tables, shelves, or appliances. Eventually, I will need one more complete bed to put into the master bedroom, two new vanities for the bathrooms, and flooring (tile or linoleum) for them and the kitchen.

People are decorating for Christmas here already, too, so I will look for a few simple elecric candles to put into the windows and a wreath for the front door. I have my trailer decos already! It just won't be Christmas without the smell of fresh balsam and snow, but oh well.

I hope you all are having a fun time, wherever you are!
Gotta go-----have nice day all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning Soos and everyone else,

See you beat me up this morning. I couldn't get with it this morning. Tessa woke me up twice during the night to go ut, so all I wanated to do was stay nice and snuggly under the covers this morning. But Sassy insisted I get up and get this day rolling.

It's snowing this morning. The ground which was bare yesterday after the mid 40 degree weather and rain, is now all white again. This is just the beginning of what is to come. We are under a Lake Effect Snow Watch starting this evening into Friday morning. This county along with 4 others as well as two in the U.P., are going to get dumped with as much as a foot of the white fluff before it's over. Maybe more. Depends on the wind. Forecast calls for a west wind of 10-20 mph, and when it does that, we get dumped on. That's when I get the most snow at my place here. But a one degree shift in the wind can move the snow bands around. Lake Effect or LES as it is sometimes called is a funny thing. I can get hardly anything here and up the road 3 miles they can get dumped with 6 inches. But this soft light fluffy snow is not the snowman making type, rather it's the delight of skiers and snowmobilers, cross country skiers and snowshoers. Sometimes though, when it gets too deep, snowshoeing becomes hard work cause you sink in deep. I also makes for some really pretty winter photography.

So, this morning I am going to finish the priming and painting of the kitchen. Then that will be done. Should probably have it done by lunch or early afternoon. Not much to do, but have to allow primer to dry before I can put paint up there. First though, it's off to do breakfast dishes, make bed, get out of jammies etc. and then get started.

Have great day everyone, whatever your plans. Soos, did yuo get my last PM?Sue and th

Good Morning everyone... I woke up at maybe 3 was in a lot of pain... finally got up at 5 and took a half vicodin wrapped up in a soft warm blanket and played on the computer... I think my body is simply worn out from the traveling... ;) but I made it! My neighbor Angela bought over a wrap that goes around my neck and rests on my shoulders it has peach pits inside... you put it in the microwave for 2 minutes wait 2 minutes and put it on... it is so warm and makes me want to go to sleep... :D

A young man Kevin that works at the park here put in my new toilet... that gave him a little extra Christmas money... he did it in maybe 20 to 30 minutes... he had to get a part to make a turn the other one the water was straight up this one is curved... it is higher than I thought it would be but I can build a little stool to put my feet on... it is much better now than before... my porcelain throne :D
I finished my coffee long ago... need to clean today but we will see...

It sounds like everyone has plans... it is cooler here today will be maybe 62 instead of 85 better weather to move around in...
Enjoy what ever you do and you up north make a snow ball for me...

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Almost didn't make it in here for morning coffee. Somehow my clock on the laptop got turned back and hour so I thought it was only 10:30am. Scratching my head over the time change, have no idea how it happened but this is the second time it's done it?

Weather outside is fantastic this morning. Weather website says it's 40f. Funny how 40f can seem balmy that way! Suppose to stay in the 40's all week with one day up to the 50's. Wow heat wave. Have no water this morning tho? Thought that somehow I screwed up but now I think about it, the neighbor last night said that there was a big water leak out front by the road so I am now thinking that they have the water shut off to repair that leak. If nothing else it's to warm outside for my hose to be froze again even if I had screwed up something. Am about dying here tho for a drink of cold water.

Gonna do some errands today. Need to get some gas in the truck and need to get a propane tank filled today. Was gonna do the P-tank yesterday but said the heck with it. But today it will get done. Also need to stop at the post office and do a change of address for the both of us. Today is house cleaning day too. But Kelly is doing that.

Gonna talk to the manager here at the camp park. I don't know who is suppose to be cleaning the bathrooms? But their not doing it! Neighbor says it's one of the girls on the other side of her and that she gets $100 a month knocked off her site rent per month. Well by goodness I can clean bathrooms with no problem for a discount on site rent!!! Just hoping I'm not gonna be sticking my foot in my mouth when I ask! Be horrible if the manager is the one who is suppose to be doing it! Well I know if she is suppose to be cleaning and isn't something needs to be said but gads!

OK, need to go read and catch up on ya'll. Have a yourselves a great day and stay safe.

Love to all

Oh, I did remember to say rabbits!! Hope that means it will be a great December.
Rain finally quit a little after dark and plenty of sunshine this morning and next few days. Water in garage is receding nicely. But it is cold (by my standards, at least) and very windy.
Had a warm snuggle dog at my back this morning - only natures call provided enough motivation to crawl out of bed. Not fair, Nicky went out, ate and went back to bed.
I'm debating with myself about whether or not to put up a Christmas tree. I do enjoy having one and don't really mind the effort to put it up. I have a bad tendency to procrastinate about taking it down however - thats the part I hate.
Wishing all a safe, warm day.

Good afternoon!
I'm having a super lazy day today. I could not sleep last night, at all! I layed in bed for over an hour and got back up and on the computer I went. At 5 I went and layed down on the sofa and watched the news and did catnap for about an hour. It's not raining today, but sure is dreary looking out there. That's all I need to see to keep me housebound. ;)
At 12:30 I remembered that it's Whacky Wednesday at the dog groomers, free nail trims. Matt told me to start bringing Choco in every week as his nails grow so quickly he wants to start keeping up on them to get the quick back where it belongs. Well, I called to make sure he had time and found out he had a family emergency, so no nail clipping today. I'm still in my jammies, too!! Oh, I guess I haven't been completely a slug. I did get the address labels made for my Christmas cards and have about 15 ready to send.
Yesterday I made another pot of squash soup after I got home from bowling. This is my third pot in a month! I love the stuff as you can tell. In a bit I'll go warm up a bowl.
Ok, I'm rambling so will sign off. Hope the Lord is propping up everyone's leanin' side!

So if it's that good, is the recipe in the recipe thread? Sounds like it would be good on a cold day. :D

It's my own made up recipe, but I'll try posting it in the Recipe section in fairly understandable language, I think!

"Rabbits" is for good luck. According to Soos, if you say "rabbits" as soon as you wake up on the first day of each month, you will have good luck all month. (It is also lucky for the rabbits, since they get to keep their feet in tact!).
I forgot to say it this morning! Shucks!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
