WET TUESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WET TUESDAY

Postby Colliemom » Tue Nov 30, 2010 7:56 am

Good morning out there,

Good Morning Carol, Cedar and Soos,

It's raining here a bit this morning. Rained most of the night and the snow is pretty well gone. Just patches laying around out there now. Probably won't lose anymore as it's not going to rain much and the temps are supposed to drop. Snowy forecast for the new few days, so will get some more back. It's getting to that time of year now.

Soos, I hope you get that computer problem with Orange County straightened out. You might just have to go to the utility company in person, to do that. How about if you change your password name with same address, would that work?

I'm taking a quick run into town this morning to pick up a few things I decided not to bother with yesterday. Was going to go in later this week, but snowy forecast coming up, so decided to do it today and burrow in for the next few days. Will finish up the kitchen and get that laundry room ready to paint next. Work on my scrapbook etc. And maybe one of these days, start a jigsaw puzzle. Gota few littlle other projects to do for my tT too. Want to make up a little sign for out front like some folks have. Got ideas, just need to get materials eventually. And study the Workamper thing.

Tropical Tuesday here:
A warm, humid & intermittent rainy day is predicted in central FL today, but it ushers in a cool front. Temperatures dropping to low 30's over night & mid 60's tomorrow.

Glad to hear from Kathleen that she landed safely in McIntosh yesterday, and will get settled into her site today. Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough for her to do that comfortably. I'm looking forward to seeing her & her new rig tomorrow.

Today, I'll begin stocking my RV for camping this weekend with Nan. We'll be at a new to me State Park in the area. I expect we'll be talking about the January GTG....planning some fun. She's going to put some grommets in our banner, so it'll be easier to hang.

I'm enjoying Carol & Bill's travels ...the Red Rock Canyon area is on my list for my next trip to the west.

It was nice to see Barbzee post yesterday....I haven't forgotten you. We WILL get together soon.

Still praying for members seeking employment or better employment. And for those who are ill today.

Hope everyone traveling today is safe and has good weather and many adventures to share (pictures). :D

Good Morning to All - At least the wind is not blowing today and we don't feel like a ship in a storm. Still pretty cool out though. Don't remember November being this cool when we lived here. The Driver keeps telling me the temps in Mexico - 78 - 83 - 85 ....Okay al ready.
Oldest son and wife-to-be got in last night from Lone Pine, CA - eastern side of central Sierras. They stopped by for a few minutes. they're staying downtown so maybe I'll be able to drag Bill down to watch the light show.
They will be married at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Courthouse. No pomp, no ceremony just legalize it. The Driver says we will be on the road at 5:10 p.m. .....Don't think so.....Maybe Thursday a.m. instead of hanging around here until Saturday.
I found a new program on line to make slide shows. I can put my pictures and videos on a DVD and then be able to play them on the TV. Did a practice one yesterday and it turned out pretty good. Still have to check that it plays in the DVD.
Need to find my slippers my feet are getting cold. Safe day to everyone.

Good morning! Not much going on here today. Sunny and 58 degrees here in southern California! Got my kitty laying next to me purring.

Got the day off so will get back to my list of things to do and see how much I can tackle today. Hopefully, more than yesterday  (was lazy all day!)

I get paid on Friday and may have a little extra money for a day trip somewhere next week! Yay! So many places I want to check out around here!

Also get my DirectTV installed on Friday so that will be fun!

Hope you all have a good day and safe driving!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Morning is gone but it is WET here too. Some flooding and wind damage in area as severe thunderstorms went thru early AM. We had near 4 inches of rain in 3.5 hours with winds reaching 60 mph at times. Most schools opened 2 hours late today due to flooded roads or power outages. At least the tornados missed us this time. Temps rose all night - warmer at midnight than it was at 3:00 P M. They have started dropping now and may get from low 60s to light freeze by tomorrow morning. Crazy this time of year.
I didn't looses power but got hit with so much water coming off the house and down the hill so fast that my garage is flooded - that in spite of my best efforts in removing leaves from driveways/drains. Water was even coming up thru cracks in the garage floor.
Wishing I did not have to go out today but have a couple of errand to take care of that won't wait for tomorrows sunshine.
I'd better get to it or the day will be gone.
Stay safe and warm whatever you are up to today.

Good afternoon,
Just watched the news and saw Mississippi got hit by some tornadoes so was wondering about you gals in the south.
Drippy day here, too. Lots of wind on the coast and heavy snow in the mountains.
I bowled this morning. We didn't bowl last week because of the icy roads. I miss when we don't bowl as I really enjoy it.
Not much else going on here either. Just hanging out. Yesterday I finished another book on my Kindle. I wanted to download the next book in the series but see it's not on the list.
That's it from here!! Wishing each and every one of you a happy, safe day!

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

Yep late again  . Was super lazy this morning and slept in, then went and played on my farm for awhile.

Nothing exciting here today but chores. Went to one of the two lumber stores here that carry RV supplies. Bought a heat tape, foam rubber insulation tubing for the water hose. I'm tired of forgetting to leave the water trickling. Actually I really hate to leave it doing that anyway as it is such a huge wast of water especially here in the desert. Also bought a length of plastic rain gutter so that I have a better angle straight to the sewer pipe. Had rocks and boards propped under the dang thing but a least a section a foot long froze again. Wouldn't have known it but saw it when I disconnected the water hose to bring it inside. GRRRRR Had to go back out with the dang hair dryer to thaw it out. The reason It froze you might ask??? Well one of the ROCKS I had under the thing was GONE!!! Not moved and the hose didn't fall off but the whole freaking rock was gone. So it left me with a dang 6" dip in the hose to freeze. Have no idea where the freaking rock went???? But I sure would like to!!! I would get really  with ??? where ever I found it. It really stretches the imagination on how the rock could just be totally gone. But it is. I am gonna have to go back to the lumber store again to pick up a short heavy duty extension cord as the heat tape has a 'thermostat' on it and it has to be in contact with either the faucet or hose and both are to far from the power box to plug into. ~sigh~ I also need to go get a tank of propane too. Don't want to wait until we run out of the last tank maybe at night or on a Sunday! Need to plan ahead. So yeah some what of a busy day with chores and some outside work to pass the time. Might make Kelly go do laundry by herself?  Sounds good to me at any rate!

OK, time to head for the store and get at it all. Hope everyone is having a good to them day. Stay safe everybody.

Love to all
