storing seasonal clothing

I've started to get out my fall wardrobe and pack away the majority of summer clothes.
Although when I packed away the fall stuff last spring it was clean, I'm now having to
wash it again as it smells stale. I don't do moth balls, although cedar is nice, but I
was wondering what others use. I understand dryer sheets are good but have never
used them and don't know which ones smell the best. I'd like to pack the summer
stuff up with something that smells good so when I get it out next time it won't stink
and make me feel like I have to wash it again.
Ok, so how do you ladies store your seasonal clothing?

I use lavender scented dryer sheets and sachets of dried lavender. Lavender is supposed to be a "natural" bug repellent. Guess that's why they used to put lavender in linen closets in the "old" days. If you use cedar be careful cause cedar can stain clothes.

Yup,.... Cedar can stain clothes,..... especially when klutzy me spills my coffee or spagetti all over them!

I store my clothes in large plastic boxes. Haven't had a problem with stale smells. The boxes are piled in one end of my bedroom closet.

ohhhhh, I forgot about lavendar, I used to use it in colorado, duh, I swear this
desert heat is frying my braincells a little more each summer. I'm beginning to
worry about myself! I just remembered I used to use cedar chips in a zipper
pillow case for my cocker spanial to lay on, she loved it and it made her smell
like cedar.

I use unscented dryer sheets. I don't want my stuff to smell of ANYTHING - that's my choice when I put it on - to use or not use a scent then.
