MONDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY MORNING

Postby Colliemom » Mon Nov 29, 2010 8:05 am

Good Morning everyone,

Up bright and early this morning, breakfast in the tummy and already looked through the weekly shopping papers. No big deals on anythng as far as groceries are concerned and I don't really need more than the basic bread, milk, dog food etc.

Snow is still on the ground here. Supposed to warm into low to mid 40's, so it might setlle and maybe melt down some. Will depend on how long sun stays out. Supposed to get cloudy and showers moving in late tonight into tomorrow. So that will get rid of a little. But it's getting to that time of year when it is going to be staying. December is usually one of our snowy months. Can snow everyday if weather conditions are right. Two years ago, we had 70 inches of snow in December. An all time snow record for that month. Doesn't matter. My blower is all set to go and there's gas in the can, so bring it on.

Took the day off yesterday and went down to Houghton Lakke, about 40 miles south of me here. Went to a large craft store to see what they had in scrapbooking stuff. Go to that place a lot. Now with the new Hobby Lobby here though, I won't be down there as much. I think Hobby Lobby has the better choice now. That other place is great for buying sweatshirts especially if you want them screen printed.

So today will be off to town to pick up a few things from the store and to Hobby Lobby. Now that I'm started on the scrapbook, I need a few letters to continue on. Will get those camping trips in that thng yet. Heck, got all winter, but want to get the stuff before mom nature turns on bad weather. Then f course have to get back to the kitchen painting project. That will get done this week. Lousy weather coming in by Wednesday. Got to get back in this house redoing business sso I can finish up all my painting and then start giving things a reallly good going over. Once it starts snowing, my mornings will be outside cleaning that up.

And of course being a nice day, the girls are going to want to head out for a nice long walk. They enjoyed the drive yesterday. Took them along just to give them a break from being in the house most of the time.

So enjoy your day, whatever it brings. And Kathleen, have fun heading out on your final leg. You should bbe all settled in by tonight I hope.

Good Morning Sue... I am in Perry Fl where the temp is 66 heading for the 70s and cloudy... If I can make myself travel I will be in McIntosh before days end... my coffee has not kicked in yet so when it is finished will go in to Wal-Mart and get milk... then think about finishing my journey...
Oh Sue my daughter does scrapbooking she has one of those machines that makes all kinds of patterns... a few weeks ago on a Friday night a bunch of ladies got together and made Christmas Cards for the Missionaries that are affiliated with our church 75 I believe... or more... Margie had cut all sorts of things for the cards... that was a fun night...
Hope everyone is having a super day...
Kathleen or Kathy

Good Morning to All - On my 2nd cup of coffee and its only 6:00 - been up quite a while and posted a couple of updates to my blog about scarey rides (no didn't take it - just saw it) and the beautiful desert around here.
The wind is blowing again - feels like someone is just shaking us.Temps in the low 30s I'm up 'cause guess I was snoring and The Driver kept poking me - so just said heck with it and got up. One of us might as well sleep. I'll take a nap later when he is watching his soccer game. Hopefully today the satellite internet guy will come with the antenna and that will be done. And sometime this afternoon our oldest son and wife-to-be should be getting into town. But there has been some bad weather between here and where they live in the Sierras in Calif.
Had Chinese take out last night for dinner - yum - can't get that at home unless we drive 30 miles away. Have enough left for lunch today!
Have a good day and safe travels if you're on the road.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's another balmy day here in the Orlando area. I see that it is about 28 at home which is not too bad, either. I wasn't sure which day the appliance people were to come here and fix my washer, but I called and found out it's tomorrow. I guess I'll stick around here for a couple of days until they get that job done. I also need them to check the thermostat as it's very touchy/tricky to set. I am still waiting for a call back from the water company to clear up my account online so I can pay them that way. I made call number 7 this morning, and nobody can solve the problem that my user name (my email address) is still in the system under another account so I can't log on. I am at the end of my rope with that company at this point.

I guess I will exchange my garbage disposal unit at Lowes while waiting for a solution to the utility company. And I may have to go to the pool this afternoon!

I will also return some bi-fold door rollers which are the wrong style and get the correct ones. Other than that, until I get paid my pension money (last day of the month) I will be frozen as far as spending goes.

I hope you all have a good day wherever you may be, and that you stop by and let us know what's going on.

Happy travels!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Brrrr it's cold outside this morning. Woke up at 6:15am, well woke up for the second time that is and got up. Woke up the first time at 4:45am and made myself go back to sleep. I guess I'm to use to waking up at 4:30 to get ready for work? Took Shade out so she could do her business. She pranced and ran back and forth between the bedroom and the door letting me know to hurry the heck up as she was ready to go out! ;) Not me! After she was done she sure the heck let me know she was ready to go back in too! I guess she was cold. She sure didn't waste any time jumping up on the couch with her 'sissy' and snuggling down in the blankets. Temp outside right now is 24.8f and it's windy. Only suppose to get up to 34f and tonight down to 11f. :o Forgot to leave the water trickling so my water hose is froze! What a dummy!! Will drag that thing in here in to let it thaw out. Have a couple of gallon jugs with water in them under the dinette for just in case. If it wasn't for needing to do dishes I wouldn't even bother hooking the water hose back up today. But by goodness I will unhook the thing tonight and let it drain out so as not to freeze again on me over night tonight.

Kelly and I are dealing pretty well with being holed up in this small space. It's still a disaster area in here but at least we have a solid roof over our heads and a toilet! The one thing "I" am having a hard time with is doing dishes!!! Those small sinks are frustrating me all to he77 and back. I never realized what a messy dish washer I was! It seems that I am constantly slopping water all over the place on my little counter and on the back of the sink. Have to wipe up after myself all the dang time! :( I guess it's a good way to make sure the counter is cleaned up but hate the mess I make!

OK I suppose I will quit there and go check out some of the other postings and do a little catch up. Hope everyone is doing good today and staying safe too. Soos and Kathleen, it sure would be nice and thoughtful of the two of you to send some of that warm air over this way. I would like it at any rate! Glad to see your in FL Kathleen. Soos I have no doubt you will soon whip that water company and all the rest of it into shape in no time!!

Love to all

Slept in a little today. I wrote a message to the Campfire last night but lost it (operator error) before I got it posted. So to make a long story short, our new manager isn't making any brownie points with anyone. Not even trying to be nice or fair about anything. When I asked if I could get Sunday mornings off to start going to church, she looked at me like "ya, right" and didn't answer me. She made one girl stay a half hour after her shift last night even tho we had no haircuts waiting. The girl told her she had to be somewhere after work, and the manager basically told her, "too bad". Gives me more incentive to look for another job! Have 4 days to do that this week!

Lots of little things on my "To Do" list today and tomorrow. My roommate comes home today so she will be pleasantly surprised to meet Precious (Sophia?). I will take her out on the balcony with a leash today and see how that goes. Need to get her a better brush to get thru her thick fur. I had a Furminator but gave it away with Zoey before I moved.

Soos, is that a community pool you use? Is your house in a gated community of some sort? Is it a manufactured home or a regular house?

Hope you all have a good day!

Say, have you checked on Zoey since you arrived in CA? Is she adjusting okay?

I did call a few weeks ago and she was doing well then. As soon as I can afford to buy more minutes for my Tracfone (later this week) I plan to call again to check on her. The lady who took her, has a relative who lives up here and rescues horses, so I want to get more info on that too.

I just bought a Tracfone today...waiting to transfer my number over from Verizon (pay as you go, of course - living here in the boonies).

How do you like it?

Sad part about changing is that I have to throw away $355 worth of accumulated air time on the Verizon account! :(

I'm going to look at the Virgin Mobile MiFi tomorrow up in Paducah after I have lunch with BJ! :D

I really have liked the Tracfone. I have the Value Plan with double minutes, where I get 250 minutes added per month for $20. That would be fine except that my dad calls me and insists on talking forever so uses up my minutes really quick! (He doesn't get it that even when HE calls ME, my minutes still get used.) Otherwise I haven't had a problem being able to use it anywhere, even places that Linda couldn't use her phone (Verizon, I think?).
The only thing I don't like is when you buy more minutes, you have to punch in a million numbers on your phone to add them, except with the Value Plan, so that is why I have that now.

Sounds like a Paducah GTG tomorrow :D Have fun you two! I don't want to read any national news referring to incidents in Paducah...... Mostly I am fighting a cold and a desire to disappear and nap forever. Didn't get to today but I can always try tomorrow.....I am in my hermit phase.... :?
