Last Night's Blue Moon

Postby Bethers » Sun Nov 21, 2010 8:09 pm

The full moon last night was the "Blue Moon" often heard of. Somewhere I had read that was 2 full moon's in a month. But last night was a blue moon and the only full moon this month - so of course I had to search to find the answer. It's interesting:

Thanks for sharing that link. I too thought the blue moon was the second full one of the month. Always good to learn something new.

That was a really neat article!! Thanks for posting it Beth!

It's funny I got outside that night just as the full moon was showing a little light behind the red cliffs here. Tried to get Kelly out the door to watch but nope. I stood outside and watched the moon as it came up from behind the cliffs, it was awesome!!!

What really was even kooler to me was that I have a few of my wind chimes hanging out in 2 trees. A very slight breeze was blowing the whole time I watched the moon come up...... The names on my two wind chimes that were ringing?? One is Moonlight Cascade and the other is Temple Bells. Now to me that's awesome cause the other wind chimes weren't making a sound!!!

Echo - I love watching the moon rise - and watching it set sometimes, too. So neat. Glad you enjoyed the article, too - I love that kind of stuff :)
