Losing a post is usually, sorry to say, some type of operator error. I lose them on this computer, because it does all kinds of strange things if I rest my wrist anywhere near the laptops version of a mouse. So I have disconnected that and use a real mouse, and have quit having most of the weird problems. I blame my operator errors on this Toshiba.
That said, before I discovered what I thought the problem was, when I was typing longer messages, I would occasionally highlight the message up to where I was, then do "copy". I use Control C to copy. That would stay in the computer's memory and if I lost the message, I could start over, put in Control V (paste) and up to the point I did the last copy would be available. Just remember, it only remembers your LAST copy. (Technically that isn't true, if you know how to get to your "clipboard" you could get earlier copies, but for all intents and purposes, just forget about that.)
