Our ride around in the snow

Postby Marslet » Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:19 am

Well as I sit here at the dinner table, it is a big whopping 12 degrees outside. We got out today because we needed to go to the store. What beautiful snow covered trees and homes. The mountain was out today and was so pretty. Took some pics and will try to post., Hope they aren't too big, but if they are, Beth, please make them the correct size. Love visiting, but can't wait to get back home to some sensible winter temps.

Beautiful! :)

What a treat that you got to see Mt. Ranier. It's so often covered by clouds. I was in Seattle last weekend and, as much as I'd love to enjoy some snow, I'm glad it waited for me to get home before arriving. It would be wonderful to be in it, knowing that you could simply hunker down and enjoy the warmth & coziness of home and not have to travel.

Be safe, and keep reminding yourself that you get to leave!

Beautiful pics, Marslet and the perfect size. That snow makes everything look like Christmas to me.

Beautiful pictures and I loved the one of Mt. Rainer. I remember seeing it when I was out in WA back in the 70's with my aunt and uncle. We had taken a trip to WA so my aunt could go back and see her and my mon's hometown of Duvall. It was a beautiful sunny day and you could see Rainer from there. Mom was three when she moved to Michigan, but she remembers bing able to look out her bedroom at Mt. Rainer. I'm hoping to back someday.

Thanks for the memories and sharing

Beautiful picture of the mountain - that's the way I like snow - from a distance or in a pretty picture.

PLEASE save that 1st picture in it's larger, original size for me for next years calendar. Pretty please. What a great shot. Love them all, but you captured Mt Rainier at it's best there.

LOVED the picture of Mt Rainier. When I grew up in the Seattle area (Burien) the view from my bedroom window was of Mt. Rainier. At that age I didn't know how lucky I was. I can remember seeing it look like a huge bowl of strawberry ice cream when the sun was setting. Maybe its time for me to do a visit to the northwest - haven't been back since the early 60's when I moved to California.

Those are beautiful pictures of Mt Rainier. Have only been out there once and that was with the tractor trailer. Would have loved to stop and played tourist but couldn't do it.

Great pics of the volcano! You were lucky to get it!
We didn't get above 30 yesterday. Hadn't been that cold this early since 1985, they said. In the 20s this AM.
I'm done with winter now...just sayin'... ;)
