if anything would go wrong, it did.
Dumped my sewer tank, was rinsing it out and heard
some funny noise coming from inside the underbelly
and then water!!!! Lots of it!! Turned off the water
and said "oh crap" Knew I'd be crawling under
the rig so went in and changed into some already
dirty clothes, got the tools and opened the panel
to assess what happen. The slide valve on the
sewer line is plumb wore out I guess, if that
can even happen. Maybe the seal? Anyway, as in the
past I have had the pipe come loose but this time it
is coming from the valve. Needless to say I can not
use the toilet now. I have the valve closed and the
tank is empty. The sink water is fine so I can still
use the faucets and the shower and the clubhouse
has bathrooms. But, in the middle of the night....
guess I'll hang my tush over the side of the tub and
rinse it all down. Otherwise, there is also the trash
can and liner. I won't worry about getting it fixed
until after it comes out of storage. Everything was
going too smoothly for something not to happen but
so glad its easily remedied.

Ava, I am so sorry to hear you have more problems, you have a Will of Iron, Lady !!! Where there is a will, there is a way, and sure sounds to me, like you have it worked out !!!f I wouldn't worry with fixing it either until you haul it out of storage. Just don't forget it needs doing before you use it again I only say that cause I have to write myself notes so I don't forget. Like I keep a note to me on console in front of my R.V. to Put step up, when its been setting, I at times have put it down and left it. So thats just in case for me .
When I saw your title thought, oh no, she had trouble with the slide, did all go well there? Sure hope so.

ha! it hadn't even occurred to me that it could break before or as I was dumping it.
yep, good thing it happened after. A note is a good idea, doing that right now and
taping it to the lid of the commode. Haven't tried the slide yet, but if all else fails
there is a hand crank, although I hope not to have to use it, cause I think it could
be hard to do. Will be trying the slide after the fridge is gone and I've shifted
the weight in here to balance the room on the tires. Honestly, there really isn't
much in here now.

Amen, sistah! Actually, I had to have my black tank valve replaced as well. It was not easily accessible, so it took $everal hour$ for the wrenchers to get it done.

Mine leaked through the drain pipe, so to be safe (and sanitary!) I always keep my Flush King attached because it has a valve of its own. I used to use the FK to drain and rinse my Class C. Even though my class A has a black tank rinser ... I love that the FK elbow clear and I can see whether I have flushed out the remaining (ahem!) debris from the tank. I also close it while using the rinser to back water into the black tank after the initial flushing to create more back-pressure to dislodge those stubborn, uh, morsels.

Enough of my potty mouth.

As long as "the fix" doesn't require you to be doing any tugging or yanking on anything. Make sure you completely heal up from surgery first!!!

not to worry Echo, my surgery got canceled unless my rip gets bigger but for now its
healing and getting smaller. Daughter had surgery today though on her shoulder. I
called to check on her, she's all drugged up with pain meds and her bf is taking
good care of her. (hoping someday I can say my future son-n-law)
