Postby dayspring39 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 8:17 am

Good Morning everyone... I am up way to early have been up since 5 took another pill and am still up... doing good here... oh yes Beth the dentist asked why I was not getting the wisdom tooth out and I said I will wait till spring he said it needs to come out... so I let him take it out and am glad I did after I saw it it was like the other one that had to come out where he did a root canal... now I am wondering if my medication is destroying my teeth...
The lifting bending and stretching ban is over this afternoon... have been getting things gathered up in a couple of baskets... you know I bet I do not use half of what I am taking... still have not found my gingers so will use my good pinking shears to cut fabric when I am in Fl...
Will not leave until Sat or Sun now delay delay delay... but guess what I am retired...
So good to see your post yesterday Blue... and also Echo... when are the pictures coming? as if I can say that have not posted any myself...
Have a good day where ever you are and join us for coffee tea or juice...

good morning ladies,
ahh, its good to take a day off :D and hoping I get this job I'm going to the
job fair for. It would certainly help me get over the top on my budget. Really
didn't sleep well last night stressing over the job thing so I was up a little
early and got a few things accomplished in the packing and shuffling around
dept.
Its gotten really cold at night out here in the desert so I've pulled out my
little oil filled heater to toast it up in here so my shower won't be such
an eyeopener when I get out. The little space heater works good for
the immediate space to keep my feet toasty but the oil filled heater
will heat the whole place. I don't want to get more propane as I want
them empty when I this baby goes into storage.
So many things going through my mind right now, trying to keep my
thoughts "categorized" if that makes any sense. On that note, I'm off
to read a few more posts and get some breakfast.
Enjoy your day and everybody be safe.

GOOD MORNING, KATH, AND EVERYONE!!

It is another sunny, warm day here, in fact hot already at this hour of 9:00 am. I am LOVING these tempoeratures!

Sue flies home this late afternoon, and I am hoping o find the airport and get back with no problems. I think I can do it, as it's pretty direct. I go right past Pete's place again, and it should be easy from there. I will miss Sue, as she has been a great helper to me as I struggle to get all under control here. Four eyes while driving are so much better than just my two.

We saw a huge turtle and an aligator on our walk yesterday morning, and we had sand hill cranes in the yard here by the trailer this morning. The half+ moon os last night, with Jupiter close by it, was spectacular. The huge expanse of sky here in this yard is breathtaking.

I have to go now, as this is Sue's last day. Hopefully, I can get over to my own house for a bit soon and use my internet connection and get caught up on all the posts I haven't read.

I always read the morning coffee posts, but that's been about it for a long time now.

I haven't remembered seeing anything from Liz lately----anyone know anything about her whereabouts?

Off we go to spend some time in the sunshine!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning to All - guess I'll try this again - last one just disappeared into space.
We are in Vegas already - left home a week ago today. Yesterday was a "bit between the teeth" sort of day. We came from Grants, NM to Vegas - 506 miles - way way too many. But we were getting tired of the winds and the temps in the teens. got here and it was much warmer - though this a.m. I've turned on the little heater to get the chill off. Both of us were in bed by 9 last night - too many time zones in too short of a time. I woke up at the crack of dawn so finally got up. Forgot how noisy a city could be - helicopters, trucks and police sirens all night. Used to silence up in the woods.
Jennie performed wonderfully the whole way. We got here before we expected to so are staying in Sams Town Rv until Sat. when we move to 1000Trails until Dec 4th when we head south again.
Today will take it easy - just want to do some walking - been sitting too long. also catch up my blog and catch up with all on here.
Till later everyone traveling have a safe day and those of you not traveling take it easy there is always tomorrow.

Ava, I was reading over on rv.net yesterday that a guy had both his propane tanks stolen while his RV was in storage.
Yet another thing to think about!

Didn't sleep too good last night worrying about the kitty. Got up early and went out looking again. No sign. It got cold here last night and was only 36 degrees this morning. I still can't believe this all happened  I have to work all day today and it will be dark out by the time I get home. I don't work tomorrow until 1:00 so will spend the morning combing the canal again. I am hoping that in a few days she will be hungry enough to come up to someone's patio looking for food. I hope she hasn't wandered away somewhere and is still close by. Will try to find a live trap tomorrow to set up on Friday. There are a lot of stray cats around here so who knows what I will catch.

Very tired this morning, so will be a long day at work...

Soos, I'm at home in Ocala. As Roe will tell you, life is pretty boring here, so not much to post about. Unless, of course, I go to the river like yesterday. Come on up with Molly and we'll find some fun. I've got a guest room.

Going to the Cross Creek Festival Saturday, next to the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings house. I may take my kayak if the weather's nice, as there's a boat ramp there to Orange Lake.

Monday I leave for my dd's in Georgia. Her family & another friend's family have rented a cabin near Gatlinburg, TN for 4 nights (Tues.-Sat.). I'll spend Thanksgiving with them there. I think they have planned visits to Cades Cove and possibly Dollywood, or at least the Dixie Stampede. Joselyn will pet sit for me...poor Roe and Bandit don't get to go this time.

Hope you heal quickly, Kathleen, and take your time driving south. I look forward to seeing you and Bright Hope.

Ava, I'll be praying for your job situation today. That goes for Barbie & Linda too. Hope the kitty gets hungry & makes herself seen today, Barbie.

Sarah, tough decisions ahead for you. I have you in my prayers too. Keep us posted.

Carol, enjoy your time in Vegas. I'm looking forward to your blog posts.

Wishing all a good day, whatever you're doing.

Woke up at 4:30 to a thumping on the outside of the house....it was the WIND again! it was making lifting a patio decoration (candle-holder) off the house and letting it slam back again. Heading out to the beach to watch the waves and then go grocery shopping ( I go to the beach as often as possible, always by myself). My DH is being so nice and generous as I prepare for my new life. He bought me a Verizon net-book, a CD drive for it, offers to buy solor panels for the, as yet not purchased TT. He has always been very generous, I hope he finds someone to share life with that likes to stay home all the time..there are gals that love to stay home all the time. I am so excited about hitting the raod....scared about all the regular things like, what if my TT slide gets stuck in the out position when I am boondocking deep in the hinterlands...what if the truck decides to drop the engine on the road somewhere. What if, what if, Silly, I know, but I will just have to deal with whatever comes my way. I know the Lord has a strong dislike for divorce but I am trusting He will be with me as I head into a new life. I tried to stay married for these eight years and was watching my life pass by with no fun or travel or adventure (we had an occasional trip here and there, but they were flukes more than anything and I want a lifestyle of continued planning and saving for the next wonderful trip, but DH had no desire...Oh dear, I don't mean to vent all my personal thougths....guess I am trying to disuage any guilt for divorcing.
All be safe and warm.

Morning everyone,

Well, it's closer to noon than morning really. And no I didnt just get up! Like Kath and Anita, I have been up since around 6 a.m. But I got my act in gear this morning cause I wanted to do some more work out in the "construction zone" aka kitchen. Had a bit of wallpaper to take off behind the frig. All done. That was a litle harder than the rest of the kitchen. Didn't want to come off as easily. And since I had a broom closet removed and two cabinets with counter space put in it's place, there is a bit of drywall repair from previous that the wallpape was sticking to. Have to smooth out the drywall repair too. So put some mud on it and am waiting for it to dry so I can sand down and put on a final coat of mud. Otherwise all is ready to start primeing and painting. But I definitly have to remember to turn on a light if I prowl my kitchen during the night right now with the frig out in the middle of the floor almost and my stove out about a foot or so from the wall, otherwise :o

So right now I am having lunch and going to paint store for the paint afterward. Then tomorrow I can prime and start painting. The one side of the kitchen should be ready to prime as what drywall I did put mud on was mostly little nail holes and that dries quick. Need to put on painters tape too. That will take some time. May do that this afternoon.

Chilly, rainy day here. Mostly light rain showers and might have some snow tonight, but will depend on winds. Right now forecast calls for NW and that's usually when we see snow. But they are saying (again  ) that next week may be the big change. Right in time for the holiday travel. Cold and snowy weather possible. So they are telling people who are planning to travel (up here) to kind of keep an eye on forecasts next week. I did have an invite to friends in southeast part of the state, but deiced to stay up her and go to cousin's instead.

Kath, glad you are doing better and that you had all that dental work done before you left. Now you can enjoy FL without worrying about it. I think wisdon teeth need to come out for a lot of people and medication doesn't hav anything to do with it. They just deteriorate over years. I've had all of mine taken out too. At the sametime :o

Off and running, bye for now.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!

Beautiful morning here, sun is shining strong. Gonna be a beautiful day. Shade is enjoying going outside with us and laying on the rocks or concrete and toasting her little bones. She has been stretching out her tie out to the end closest to the drive/road and lays there taking turns looking first up one way then down the other so that she can keep track of what might be going on.

Speaking of Shade? She is blowing her coat at the moment so she looks really ratty and scruffy. Need to vacuum in here to pick up all the little clumps of hair. Have raked her out 4 days in in a row and I swear we have taken about half a dogs worth of hair each time. She sure is gonna be a skinny puppy when she's done this time. After she's all done it will be bath time. She's not gonna be happy with me!

TT is home now! Washed my first batch of dirty dishes last night. So yeah, I'm gonna say that we are home. Kathleen, I posted a link for at least a few pictures in the "show off your rigs" thread. As we get things ship shape I will post a few more.

Gonna be doing some swapping around in the cupboards today. Get a few more things in hidey holes as we find them. Told Kelly last night I kinda feel like Gulliver in here with the stuff just out and about. Did get some of the cords on the floor taken care of. Need to go to an auto parts store and pick up some bulbs for the lites in here. As of right now only 3 of the TT's interior lites work and we have one lamp. One lite over the dinette, one in the bathroom and one in my bedroom. Kelly has the lamp over at the end of the sofa. Drives me WILD to not have a lite over the stove or sink.

I'm gonna play lady of the manor and make Kelly fix supper tonight. Well most of it anyway. I'll make the gravy but she is gonna learn how tonight. Might make her do it while I watch. 8-)

OK, time to get off my duff and get busy. Hope ya'll have a super day and please remember to stay safe.

Love to all

Morning (afternoon for most of you)! After reading the following - Peaches got an extra long walk and belly rubs when we got back:

Was reading my news on line and had my first cry of the day already: Afghanistan Dog Hero Wrongfully Euthanized That makes me so sad. No excuse either. I went to volunteer at one shelter, and learned they euthanize any animal they've had for 2 weeks. In other words (it's in the north) if a full-blooded lab puppy came in on a Sat afternoon, and they can't release it for 3 days due to laws there, on the 4th day, there is a major snow storm - etc etc (this is true story) - this 10 week old lab puppy was euthanized because "it's the rules" here. Needelss to say, I didn't volunteer there. They say it means they don't have to make tough decision on which animals to euthanize due to crowding, etc. Worked with many shelters - we always had crowding problems, and that's why we had lots of volunteers who would take animals home with them also. Euthanisia should never be the quick answer. But OMG, to euthanize a dog like this that was only there for the weekend. I cried and cried.

Still sniffling here. Not just for that dog, but for the hundreds daily that are euthanized who could be reunited with their families or a new family found.

Already made my dinner to take to work with me. Lunch is soup that I'll have before leaving. Now, if only I'd put away the laundry I did on Sunday! lol -- this little place is looking just toooo lived in! But at least I make my bed up as soon as I get up.

Hope everyone has a great day.

yes, I thought of that and when I put it in storage I will put the empty tanks inside for
safe keeping. Even though there are lockable straps around the tanks, anyone could
cut the small lock that would fit in it.

Yeah, those shelters that euthanize dogs and even cats, should adopt a No Kill policy like our shelter does up here. They keep the animals or foster them out till homes can be found. Only ones that get euthanized are those that might pose a danger to a new owner or the publc. And that's rare. A lot of shelters in Michigan have been paying attention to what our shelter is doing here. There are volunteers including school children who will go and walk the dogs every day.
The country just purchased a piece of property and there is a new shelter to be built next spring. The current one is just over 2500 square feet and very inadequate, the new one is supposed to be over 6,000. They have an pretty good adoption rate here now and periodic spay/neture clincs. Plus a couple of groups that work to raise money for the sheler. So it's been good all the way around.
