Only took me four days to respond to your question...I don't get onto the forum as often as I should. No, I have'nt purchased my TT yet; my head is spinning with indecision. At first I wanted the Cougar with the rear living room layout (I am all about that big window in the rear)...but there just aren't many Cougars in my area. Amazingly enough I find them all over in Maine, Ohio, Florida, but just none in Washingotn. I lucked out and got a good tip from "Almost There" about CurtisRV.com in Portland, they have a huge inventory and I sort of fell in love with the Trailblazer with the rear living layout, but they don't have as much storage as others. So, i'ts a quandry. I am fairly certain I will go to Curtis RV in Portland when the time comes. I am waiting for my settlement check from Boeing, they sure are dragging their feet. But, it will arrive before the month is out. Then I wonder if I should not buy in December and should wait until January so the 2010's will not be "new" anymore. But, on the other hand they will likely swing a good deal just to get them off the lot in December...remains to be seen. I tell myself I have my, self-protecting "schpeil" all ready for the hard-selling dealer, i.e., "not gonna pay more than bla bla, no extended warranty, no dealer prep" etc. etc., so hopefully I will gird up my loins and stand firm..pray for me.

Here's the link for the RV show in Portland this weekend. Curtis RV is one of the vendors. You might be able to swing a good deal. Just sayin'.

Thanks for the RV show link. I would go in a heart beat but I don't have my "cash-in-hand" until the end of the month...too bad the timing is so poor on that. You're right about the good chance of a Great Deal. I talked with a salesman at Curtis today about one of the units I liked. They really do have them priced lower than anyone else so he was only willing to budge down about $1400, which isn't too bad. I am not completely sold on it yet since it has "leather" furniture. I don't like leather, we have that in our house and it's too "cold" and uninviting. I am always sitting on a blanket at home instead of the leather.....plus I bet the leather in this trailer is not the "best" so it would likely be cracked in a short time. So, I told him I would check in a couple weeks and see what they had to offer then. I am just not finding diddly squat in Seattle or Tacoma; weird. Thanks again.

Yeh, I'm not crazy about leather either, so I fully understand, AND you should get what you want. Or as close to it as possible. Keep up the search. It just takes perseverance. :)

Just for the heck of it I goggled Cougar/Keystone dealers. found this place... http://www.tacomarv.com/

Don't know if your looking/buying used or what?? But seems to me that this place could find you the one your wanting? If not? Then it's because they can't be bothered and you wouldn't want to deal with them at all.

Hi KD.

Just finished through this thread. Just wanted you to know when Ron, hubby, went to Bellingham to get his license renewed he was asked for his permanent address. Told the guy we lived full time in our motor home. The worker talked to somebody and then looked up something. The address he gave was the address of the campground we were in right then. We use our PO Box as our mailing address for the DMV and for all our tabs (which we order and pay for online and they mail to PO Box0).

We were in Portland,OR for three weeks in June and again for a week in early August traveling/working/living with the carnival ~ that is a whole other thread ~ if you are curious you can read my blog, it starts in February 2010 and you can access it using the link at the end of this message. Any way, we were parked right by Curtis RV. Ron went there a few times to get some things and really liked them. They were very helpful and they have a lot of rigs to look at.

Good luck as you look for the rig for you. Looking forward to getting to know you better.
