Hi Charlene, I'm in FL for the winter too. Hope you can make it to the GTG. Love your camper.

Do the kitties travel with you for the winter? I know there are several traveling cats that check in here from time to time to remind the dogs that they aren't so special.... :D

Actually, this is the first time we are taking the two cats on the road. I got harnesses for them and trying to get them use to wearing them.

Next we are going to take them out to the truck and camper and let them roam.

In the past, the last time we went down to Fla was in May of this year for a month, and had to board the the dog and 2 cats.

I don't know if I mentioned this but I had to put down my German Sheperd about a month ago. She was 13 and had cancer, and couldn't walk. One of the hardest things I ever had to do.

But this gives us the freedom to travel now for extended periods of time.

I think this is the end of the line for any more dogs. I can't go though that again.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

Hi Charlene,

Those Lances are a sweet TC :) Would love to have one of those to go Alaska :) I'm from the NE too. PA to be exact. Don't miss it now though in the winters ;) Sure hope you can make it south. Anywhere! Welcome!

Love,
Sharon

Hi Charlene,

Welcome aboard. I see there is another NY RVer. Seems a number of gals are from NY, IL or the Pacific northwest. I'm in Michigan.

You and hubby will enjoy your trip to FL and like you said, the Lance may get a bit crowded. Only one way to find out and thats try it before you decide. I've often looked at PU's but having two dogs, kind of thought it would be too crowded. I have a Rockwood Mini LIte, 18 ft. Its great for what I want right now, but don't know about extneded stays. However there are ladlies on this forum whoo have small RV's like Roadtreks and they manage nicely.

Going to enjoy hearing about your winter in Fl. Keep up all up to date on your adventures. :)

HI CHARLENE!

As you are heading to FL soon, maybe you can come to the GTG in January in the Ocala area? We have a large bunch coming, and it would be fun to add you to the list!
