BEAUTIFUL DY COMING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BEAUTIFUL DY COMING

Postby Colliemom » Mon Nov 08, 2010 7:10 am

Good morning everyone,

Hope you all had agreat weekend. No complaints here. Nice weather especially yesterday. Took the furkids for a long walk back on state land across the road from me. It's about an hour and a half trek. They enjoy it. Didn't see any wildlife, usually don't, but did see turkey tracks

Gonna be a nice day today too. Heading northwest to Petoskey. Need to see the hearing aid pro. Just routine checks, batteries. That necessary stuff to keep them functioning. After that, not sure where I"m headed. Probably home. Budget is a bit tight right now and gas just went up to $3.09 yesterday. So that puts a crimp in my winter budget.

Well, now that Soos is safely down FL and everybody else who headed south for winter are in their "winter nests", it's time to watch Kathleen get her plans made, load Bright Hope, which she's been doing and get ready to head south too. An adventure with a new to her RV.

Beth, hows your job going? That's something I think I would love to be doing.

Soos, make sure you check out General Talk and read the "Soos, we are proud of you" posts.

Well, I"m off. Time to register with the unemployment folks so I can get the next check coming this week. Have a great day.

Good morning! It's a chilly 37 degrees this morning in Central FL, but supposed to warm up to a sunny 70.

I don't have many plans for today...a little laundry & cleaning in the house this morning, and a Women's Fellowship meeting at church this afternoon. I'm this month's hostess for that, so made some cookies & other refreshments to take.

Soos, glad you're settling in at your son's. Sounds like you'll have a beautiful site there. After you're all set, let's plan to gtg. I do still owe you a Lobsterfest, remember?

Colliemom, it sounds like you have a great place to walk the dogs right across from you. Roe would love that, 'cause I'd take him hiking more often in the winter if it was that handy.

I'm making plans for a little trip (sans SL) for Thanksgiving. I'm going to join my dd & family in a cabin they've rented in the Gatlinburg, TN area for that week. We'll probably visit Cades Cove & maybe attend a Dixie Stampede dinner show while there. Hiking will be on the agenda too. Thanksgiving dinner will be cooked at the cabin.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Good Morning from Normal... it is sunny and 39 here will be 66 or so later... sounds like your weather Liz... Sue thanks for opening the coffee room... your trail sounds great... I plan to try to walk a little in McIntosh this winter... I can only go a block or two now but with warmer weather maybe I can build up strength... I may be up that way this summer...
I am trying to put things in the basement storage places in Bright Hope but I truly believe my one huge storage in the old MH was larger than these combined... My grandson Pete will take her to change the oil and check things out for me... so what ever day he does that I will clean house that way at least a layer of dust will be gone...
Today I will do laundry and take more out to see where it will fit in the basement... as well as take some things out I do not need... Margie gave me 5 frozen marie calendar dinners yesterday... I will save those for on the road... I also have some soup and green beans to take... my plans so far is to leave the latter part of next week if all goes well...
The insurance lady comes tomorrow afternoon about my new health plan... not sure what it will be but it is $100 more a month than last year plus all of the deductibles and copays... same for most of us always going up and up...
Need another cup of coffee so will leave you all to your various chores...
Have a great day...
Kathleen

Morning,
Looks to be in the 40s this morning. Kinda damp out there but not raining at the moment.
I slept really well after not sleeping much the night before and having a full day yesterday. Coffee tastes good, too.
My GD's basketball games yesterday were fun. The teams came from all over Clark Co. and also the Portland, OR area. The one girls team from Clackamas, OR was outstanding! Those 5th/6th graders ran plays that were exciting to watch. They also beat our team 61-2 and another 81-4! LOL The second game for my GD was more well rounded and we won 18-11. Before the games everyone came here and I fixed lunch (chicken parm, garlic bread and a huge salad). After the games I grocery shopped and came home and crashed in front of the TV. Woke up at 11 to rain just hammering the roof! Choco didn't want to go out to pee so we went to bed. I figured he'd wake me later but he didn't.
Nothing planned for today. Will try to get in a walk if the rain holds off.
Have a super day everyone!

good morning ladies,
have been to work and back, all done for the day as I took the afternoon
off to make my doctor visit. Stopped by the office here at the mhp to let
them know my plans. She understood very well why I was doing what I was
doing. She also agreed it was a smart decision so that I wouldn't loose my
home or my car and fall deeper into debt.
On that note, I'm off to get a quick shower and get to the doctor.
Have a good day everybody, and above all be safe.

Good morning! Don't know how cold it is out there but the sun is shining though there are some dark clouds in the sky.

Started the ball rolling to get my mammogram. Found a place that does them for free for people with no insurance. Yippee! Heard from the insurance company that they gave the go ahead to fix the motor home. Took their sweet time coming to that conclusion. Had to have our agent give him a call last Friday. But now it's done. Should be back in the home on Friday or Saturday. Good thing as there are things I need to do before we head off to see Christmas trees.

Have been updating my blog every day with something I am thankful for. I decided to post something daily about what I am thankful for. I do it in my heart/mind every day but think its a good thing to put it in writing.

Brandon made it safely home after spending the weekend with us. It was so good to have some time with him. We had a big family dinner on Saturday night at Bob's Burger & Brew. We were 19 people. A fun time was had by all.

Today I am running errands with a friend and having a coffee date with her. Tomorrow I have another play date with another good friend. Have to get in all my play dates before we head out in two weeks for work. Tonight I have my writer's group. It has been since March since I was able to be apart of the group. It will be fun to be with another group of gals.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Soos, glad to hear you made it safely to Fl. Ava good luck at the doctors. Talk to you all again soon.

GOOD LATE AFTERNOON TO ALL!

Melissa got a cold over the weekend, so she stayed at home today. Goog went to work. They both gave up thier entire weekend to get my electricity hooked up for my trailer. The wire is buried, the required one foot deep, and the RV box is on a pole next to the trailer, just like in the RV parks. It is beautiful here!

Today Sue and I drove to my house in Orlando, took some stuff I brought for that place, and our towels and bathing suits. We actually went for a swim in the club pool! I think the temperature of that water is about the same as the Atlantic ocean off Plum Island, MA---about in the 40s! The house looks really nice....the kids have done a great job patching, repairing, painting, and keeping it looking great. Sue and I also spent some time in the nice hot spa at the pool, warming up after the November swim! It was warm outside today, and is supposed to get warmer again each day. The skies here have been cloudless and beautiful.

Wednesday I go back to that house (I am back at the kids' place now) to meet with the cable company in the afternoon, and with the bug control/termite company in the morning. We will swim in between the appointments. It will be interesting to once again begin to furnish a house from scratch! The first steps will be to take out the two bathroom sink things (can't think of the name of those things) take out the old linoleum in both bathrooms, and put in new flooring and sink things. Then the kitchen will get re-linoleumed. After that, I will begin to look on Craig's list for some el-cheapo furniture. Sue will be here until November 17th, so she will have some time to vacation.

My nephew, Dave, his wife, GIna, and his two kids will be coming here for a visit tomorow. They are staying in Disney's Animal Park. When he called this morning, he was sitting on his balcony, watching a giraffe walk past!

We need to have some more keys made, and I need to learn all the codes, passwords, etc. in order to come and go around here. My house also needs new locks on the front door, as the keys and deadbolt are nearly impossible to make work. This house has an alarm system, a locked gate, and is surrounded by fencing, so Molly is having a wonderful time going free! Over 5 acres of land for her to run wild in!

I still have had no time to read any posts, nor do I have the time yet, as I want to mow some grass for the kids before dark. Pete, today was gorgeous! I went through Kissimmee on the way to my house, via 192, John Young road, Central FL Parkway.....not a bad trip at all. I will have to figure out where you are so Sue and I can come and visit some night!

Hope all is well with everyone----will try to read more posts later, and try to respond and mail some pictures of my new 'winter home!'
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
