Liz - I love your campground map! Okay.. so I'm in the wrong loop but it was the last of two sites to pick from. I will be bringing my bike and most likely my trike so its not like I can't get to the other loop faster than a visiting bear
When I asked for a cleaning.. I meant MY RV... not my posts.
Rv still needs cleaning.
The bath houses at Silver River have a paper back book exchange. Leave one.. take one sort of thing. My favorite mobile rv mechanic is out of Ocala so I have been visiting Silver River Park quite a bit even though 300 miles from my home in Panama City Beach, FL.
Anyway, I have already stacked a few paper backs to take to donate. The bath houses also have washers and dryers, only a buck each per cycle. Not being real familiar with commercial laundry, I found this quite a deal... and lots easier than having to watch my gray water tank level while doing laundry in the rig.
And if laundry and books don't thrill you to no end.. hahaha.. there is probably one of the best geocaching puzzles within the park.
http://www.geocaching.com for more info. Its basically using your hand held gps, plugging in coordinates.. finding certain things/places/hidden objects. Its not for everyone but if you find you do enjoy it.. this is one of the greatest.. right at the park. There are two smaller caches there as well.
If you are in to cross stitch (ok.. thats a long shot.. I know).. near by, a friend of mine owns a cross stitch shop. Little shops like that are a dying breed as its cheaper, easier, to order by bulk on the net. But the little local shops let you touch things, sit there an stitch, meet people. Sort of like a womens rv gtg on a weekly basis. They do have the occassional man join them. We try to shoo them out though as for some odd reason, men seem to stitch better.
I'm sure being long winded - making up for lost time here! Anyone that remembers the Locked In My RV Again saga of two years ago, I have good news. After two years of various lock repairs and mishaps.. some very scary.. some amusing, the mobile rv mechanic found a replacement lock last month. End of saga...until the next one. Now let me tell you about my invertor problems.. hahahahahaha
