Thanks Liz for all your photo work for us.

Wendy, take two or three practice trips. You could take one every other week until January....Practice makes perfect.

Cold here in the AZ Mountains.

All be safe.

Some of you probably remember Alice who was a member of this forum. She didn't post often, and in one of the "clean-ups" she inadvertently got deleted. She's posted on the single's forum that she signed up for a site during the gtg. I'm trying to have her re-sign up on here - hopefully she will. Neat lady.

Liz for the map - she's coming Sun Jan 23 2011 - Fri Feb 04 2011 - and thinks she has site 23.

Liz - I love your campground map! Okay.. so I'm in the wrong loop but it was the last of two sites to pick from. I will be bringing my bike and most likely my trike so its not like I can't get to the other loop faster than a visiting bear

When I asked for a cleaning.. I meant MY RV... not my posts. :) :) :)
Rv still needs cleaning.

The bath houses at Silver River have a paper back book exchange. Leave one.. take one sort of thing. My favorite mobile rv mechanic is out of Ocala so I have been visiting Silver River Park quite a bit even though 300 miles from my home in Panama City Beach, FL.

Anyway, I have already stacked a few paper backs to take to donate. The bath houses also have washers and dryers, only a buck each per cycle. Not being real familiar with commercial laundry, I found this quite a deal... and lots easier than having to watch my gray water tank level while doing laundry in the rig.

And if laundry and books don't thrill you to no end.. hahaha.. there is probably one of the best geocaching puzzles within the park. http://www.geocaching.com for more info. Its basically using your hand held gps, plugging in coordinates.. finding certain things/places/hidden objects. Its not for everyone but if you find you do enjoy it.. this is one of the greatest.. right at the park. There are two smaller caches there as well.

If you are in to cross stitch (ok.. thats a long shot.. I know).. near by, a friend of mine owns a cross stitch shop. Little shops like that are a dying breed as its cheaper, easier, to order by bulk on the net. But the little local shops let you touch things, sit there an stitch, meet people. Sort of like a womens rv gtg on a weekly basis. They do have the occassional man join them. We try to shoo them out though as for some odd reason, men seem to stitch better.

I'm sure being long winded - making up for lost time here! Anyone that remembers the Locked In My RV Again saga of two years ago, I have good news. After two years of various lock repairs and mishaps.. some very scary.. some amusing, the mobile rv mechanic found a replacement lock last month. End of saga...until the next one. Now let me tell you about my invertor problems.. hahahahahaha

You're not in the "wrong" loop, Alice. We're gradually taking over the whole campground. I'll bet you have some takers on the geocache hunt....me for one!

I'll soon be posting a list of other area activities for those that might be interested.

Thanks, Liz, for the pics of the park and of my site!

Now I will need to drive my truck there to find me the best route to haul my trailer there. Any suggestions?

Am beginning to look forward to this fun time!

Soos, it's an easy drive from where we are. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Just noticed we have Pete from the ORS forum joining us in site #32, Jan. 26-Feb. 1st. Maybe some others from that group will join us too...we'll have a joint GTG! Many of us belong to both groups.

Mitch, can you update the map for me? Thanks.

I've updated the map and sites still available at the beginning of this thread (first post). It's not too late to reserve a spot. We're filling the cg.

I've counted 14 reserved sites, plus Sarah in the cabin. With a couple of day visitors, Carolyn & Barbzee, that's 17!

After I camp with Nan this weekend, I'll post again with a jello agenda.

I believe that Margie is going to come down with me for a short visit. Hope it's okay Sarah, I've offered the other twin bed. Should be a blast.
