Well, Green River Resort is anything BUT. Green River State Park is NICE. I thought I took another picture of my site, but don't have it - so will have to do that another day - but got my blog updated, so you have an idea...

I don't blame you for moving campgrounds! I guess that "resort" must be brand new, trying to cash in on the Amazon workers, hopefully they'll get ideas on how a cg should be set up and make improvements before next year if the state park isn't going to be open.

Bethers,

Glad you found a nice spot to land for your time there. Sending you extra strength to get thru it. It's tough when you are not used to it. But, it's only temporary and we can do anything when we put our minds to it. Looking forward to seeing you soon :)

Love Ya,

Gosh, Beth! What a difference! The move was worth the view alone, but breathing space is good, too. I'm betting your "resort" owners never camped. Some folks let the dollar signs cloud their thinking and just pack 'em in like sardines. We all run into them from time to time, but then we discover the hidden gems just down the road apiece, so it balances out.

Hope you like your stint there and the job is tolerable.

Glad you found a much, much better place to stay. I HATE being so close to a neighbor. Once I was at a place where I could hear my neighbor snoring at night - felt like I was sleeping with them. YUK!!!!

Yeah for State Parks. It would have been a horrible winter to be in that "resort." Glad you have a front yard with a view.

One lady actually said to me "Oh, this place (the resort) is going to be so nice when they're done." I asked her what planet she's living on. Shouldn't have done that - she's really nice - but I couldn't help myself. Was at Amazon all day today for Orientation and Safety Class. Long day - and working will be better - this is so tiring (boring LOL) - came home and was just sooooo glad I moved. Got Peaches out and walked her - saw a heron, so walked the other direction to make sure Peaches didn't disturb it - then walked back that way. Would have been happy without - but that made my day. Made having to walk Peaches when I just wanted to collapse all right, too. Poor girl, she's going to be having to run the house for the next few weeks. We'll both survive it - then get to see so many of our friends between FL and TX.

Beth ...I think Peaches is a good influence..... I couldn't imagine spending any extended time without good dog walking choices.....what is good for the pups is better for us, too. :)

what a difference in the two places, the state park definately rocks. The resort
certainly leaves much to be desired, at the rate they pack folks in they will never
make it to the good reviews page of the internet.
I know you said you'll be working 10 hour days but will you at least get a couple days
off now and then?

Tina, so right you are. And I really do look forward to our walks - most of the time :)

Ava, I'll work 4 10 hour days until they put us on overtime. Overtime CAN take me to as much as 6 10 hour days, IF I agree. I might not do more than 5, but with starting two weeks later, the OT really could come in handy. The dept I'm in does not have mandatory OT - and might not have as much as some of the others, so we shall see. This week is training and lighter hours - next week regular schedule. Who knows if/when the OT might kick in.

Told Peaches she's in charge of the home front for a bit - and to forgive Mommy for disappearing on her - but that I will spend quality time when home :)

Now, my goal is to lose 10 pounds minimum by Christmas. Will let you know if this works.

Beth...I think somewhere you said you have worked at Amazon before. Am I correct? If so, at least it's something you have experience at. I am so confused on where to look for work here. I think I will head to the mall tomorrow to drop off some resumes. Thinking maybe some grocery stores, too. So many companies require you to apply online. I don't like that! Hope you get settled in quickly and Peaches adjusts ;)
