Soos, don't give up now! You've worked too hard for this, to turn back now! (brings to mind the saying about the horses running back into the burning barn because it is all they know.) You have a very adventurous spirit, and it's not like you won't be going back eventually in the spring anyways. If I was driving thru snow, I would be even more determined to head south to get out of it! Another saying I like is "feel the fear and do it anyways!" and "Courage is fear that has said it's prayers"...
I know I needed a push a few times when I started having cold feet about moving to California, but now that I am here, I am loving it and not looking back! I still have to pinch myself because I can't believe I am actually finally out here! It will all be worth it once you get to your destination! You go girl!!!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Just remember that little train, Soos..."I think I can, I think I can, I think I can"...and soon you'll be saying, "I thought I could!, I thought I could!, I thought I could!"

And note to self: "Next year, start south sooner!" (Before the snow flies)

Oh Soos so glad you are posting when you can... remember going back is worse now than going forward... when you get into warmer weather rest a while... that will be good for both of you...

Soos, Remember me telling you about coming back from Quebec caught in a terrible snowstorm. When we finally got to a Plaza, my husband told me he was going to the men's room to shave. I didn't remember the 'shaving' part. I was already a basket case and started imagining he was in there stabbed to death :o :( .I didn't know a soul of course but started going over what I would do. Thank goodness I had a key to the truck. I would call dispatch from there where I would be 'safe'. Just as I was about to catch a guy coming out to see if my husband was in there, he walked out. Of course I grabbed him like he had been gone from home a year  He looked at me like I was crazy and said he was ready for a hamburger. As we sat there I got the simples; laughing, crying, carrying on and plainly embarrassing him  It has been laughed about many times. As I read I could imagine everyone's heart going out to you and sure nuff they have. You have hit some bumps in the road and a very ugly bush  but you don't have to wonder whether you have anyone in this world who cares about you :) :!: Maybe by now you are another 100 miles down the road and seeing sunshine :D If not it's over the next hill :!:
By the way, I'm still home. My best friend just told me she is getting married (so much for heeding my advise). She needs me here to keep her from backing out she says (what have I just told you, she has picked the wrong friend). I will stay and walk her down the aisle then I might hop in Destiny and follow them to Branson

Take a deep breath Soos. You no longer have to worry about getting your new truck/trailer scratched. One down, so it is cool if you happen to bump something because it has been boo boo'd. Not something you want to do, but it will happen. Now you don't worry about driving in the snow - you already have that experience. I don't have that experience. You are gonna love that warm weather and swimming in Liz's pool.

But safe and take your time. I am headed to Paradise in the morning and won't be able to check where you are for a couple of days. Looking forward to hearing of your adventures.
