Monday, its monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, its monday

Good morning ladies, coffee is on, its hazelnut, not my favorite but had to use it up
cause there was only a little bit. I'm all ready for work and have over a half hour to
spare :D What better place to spend it in than here. Thinking of Soos this morning
as she heads south, before ya know it she'll be driving in nice weather and can relax.
Not much else on my mind this morning so everybody have a nice day and be safe.

Good morning Ava and all,

Chilly morning here at the 45th (I live just a few miles south of the 45h parallel, which is halfway between the north and south poles), 20 degrees and going to be a nice but cool day. Burlap shrub day.

Thinking about Soos and hoping she is driving into better weather. I think once she gets into better weather, she will relax and enjoy it more. I have to admit that she has been through quite a bit since she started. It's one thing when you are an experienced RVer, you just write if off as a bad moment, but when you are doing it for the first time, you wonder what you are getting yourself into and if this is the way it's going to be, you don't want to do it. Plus this is first time gone for winter thing and I think part of her would like to be up in the mountains yet. Later on, she will laugh and say "remember when".....

Sparky's owners came and picked him up on Saturday. Needless to say, there was one very happy dog and two very happy owners. They love their two dogs especially him, having raised him from a pup. They would much rather go someplace and be able to take them along than anything I think. They enjoyed Mexico, but have no desire to go back. Now of course they are faced with cleaning up the mess from the windstorm. He's already taken his chainsaw chains in to get sharpened so he can start cutting up the treea. When I get my chores done here, I might go see if he would like some help as she has to work.

So, coffee's hot. Pull p a chair and tell me about your plans for today.

Yesterday was a lazy-do-nothing kinda day. My 2 GDs stayed in their town to trick or treat so this year I didn't bother to hand out candy. (they like trick or treating in my sub'd. as they use to live here and know allot of people, then help hand out candy, too). Anyway, that meant I had the whole day to do nothing and that's pretty much what I did. Early on I made white chili, then played on the computer. After that I watch TV then read a book on my Kindle. Never even got out of my jammies! It was a good day to be outside as the sun was shining and my dog was whining, but I just didn't want to get dressed.

Today, if it doesn't rain, I need to start raking leaves in the backyard and also mow the grass. No matter what the grass will be wet as it stays damp back there almost all year long and with all the recent rains the ground is like walking on a wet sponge. Not fun to mow.

Hope Soos is having a better day and will get to check in later.
Wishing everyone a super day!

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE TOMORROW!

NO ONE SAID RABBITS? oh miss you Soos... you keep us in gear... Good Morning from cool Normal... at least when it is cool you can put on more clothes but when it is hot would be a funny sight to see less clothes...
One more day then we will be post election and have such wonderful reviews to hear as the losers hash what went wrong and the winners what went right... they will all soon forget their campaign promises and it will be life as usual...
Thank you Ava for making coffee... good to have a warm cup first thing...
Have been doing other things not packing... will put more things by the door and continue to get them to Bright Hope...
Soos please post when you can I know like the rest are all hoping you are finally enjoying herself...
May your day be filled with sunshine...

Almost ran out of morning here but thought I'd check in. After two week absence I'm not going to have time to catch on on everything today.
I did finally get a couple of photos posted on the latest AL mini gtg here last week. Always great to see Sunshine and we had the honor of meeting a new member from Birmingham, Wendy (readytogo). Sure enjoyed the visits.
Looks like our last week of relatively warm weather is here with rain moving in tomorrow. My afternoon will be clearing drives of leaves so they don't stop up drains. Remainder of yard will have to wait. I had planned to buy myself a GPS for my birthday but no good sale prices at the time. So in a moment of senior insanity, I bought one of those combination leaf blower/vac things. Finding it very difficult to use. Think it was designed for someone about 6 feet tall with good upper body strength. Another big drawback is that one is not to get nuts, acorns, little branches etc in it as they are to hard on chopper blade. Of course I have a yard full of hickory trees and something that drops lots of acorns. Now have to figure out how to separate so can mulch leaves. One more of life's little challenges to over come. Wish I'd stayed with the GPS plan and hired someone to take care of leaves on this hill.
If there is any day left when leaf chore done, must go thru stack of mail I've let pile up. Know there are bills lurking in that pile.
Hope you are having a fun day.

Use to have a hickory nut tree in our yard in Illinois and those little buggers are hard to crack so I'm guessing they'd really give your chopper blades a workout! :o

Sarah, you must use some of the similar tactics that I fall into.....stack the paperwork up in a pile...circle it for any number of days...... :?
