We are alive...

What can I say..I have not been great about posting. I have been coming in and reading and keeping up on you all.
Things are going well. We have a lot going on right now. I think the list would make you all tired.
Actually if you have FB let me know..and I will pm you so you can friend me if you want. I do post there at least once-twice a day.

DS, Zeke football team made it into the playoffs, first playoff game is tomorrow.
DS, Justin who is 22 finally found a place to live so he has moved back out.
DD, Mychal is getting ready for gymnastics to start up Nov 8th. That gets interesting..as we have 3 high schools in our district, but only 1 set of coaching staff. So the 3 schools practice together at the one high school and then compete as separate teams. So that also means that we have to get her from her high school to the other high school. I am really going to try and link up the parents better this year, so maybe we could carpool from the one school to the other.

Now for the biggest news of all.
When we moved here 11 years ago, we like the house, but knew it would not be our forever home.
When you drive out to our house, there are several homesteads, with acreage. I have over the years fallen in love with each and everyone. About a month ago, one of them went on the market. So one day I pull in and get the flyer. Then the next week they have an open house so we pull in and take a look.
We fell in love with the inside...it is just fantastic and everything we have dreamed of having.

So anyway...we begin the process..well DH did, I support him, but inside I just thought it would not even be possible.

Turns out we qualify for up to 375,000...so we are going to offer 350,000.
The only other hitch is we have to have a signed lease for our current home, we opted to rent it vs trying to sell in this current market. The market here is flooded with home in the price range that ours would be..200,000-250,000..many of them are newer then ours, so most likely it would be a while before we could sell.
I really really want this to work out. I fell it is so important to get some acreage and be able to have a nice garden and be more self sufficient. There is also room for our TT...no more storage...which means that will save us $500.00 plus when you consider the theft and damage issues we had over last winter/spring.

I am asking for prayers that this all work out. I will keep you updated.

What a beautiful setting. Good luck both with buying and renting and/or selling.

Beautiful. I love it and I would want it too if I were looking for something like that. Prayers coming your way for a buy. Seems to be calling you and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes considering the current market. I feel it was made for you.

Well we went back and forth a couple of times, but got an offer where we wanted. Our intial offer was 23,000 under what we would go up to. We ended up 4,000 under that mark.

So now it is onto the inspection process...and then the only other thing is we have to have a signed renter on 12 month lease for our current home.

I will keep you all updated.

There are several things that make this nice..another #1 reason...no more storage fees for the TT, it can be at home with us and can serve as guest house when we get extra company too. That will save us $500.00/year or more (as you all know we had the vandalism/battery theft last winter.

Good news Kristy, hopefully all the rest will fall into place. What kind of closing date do you have?
