and the one in my signature....Think folks can see me?

Herbie is all toaded up and is ready to roll. He has the new SMI Stay In Play Duo braking system. Still learning what to do with the Chevy vs the other Ford toad. Hope to get the Owner's manual soon.

Pretty pretty! You did good...they do have a lot of space inside for a moderate package.

Yes it does have a lot of room, Tina. I didn't get a photo of the trunk, I'll have to see about getting one. It has lots of space back there and this one doesn't have carpet in the back area, it is a slick finish. So if you don't have things tied down they do slip and and slide around. I love the gas mileage on it. I could tell right away that I was loving that part of Herbie. Have had it about 10 days, put over 300 miles on it and only one tank (part) of gas which was only 10+ gallons. Now Ed the Edge couldn't do that any day of the week!

Will go do laundry and a few things at the store tomorrow, and I bet the gas gauge won't move. ;)

In my Kia Sportage (and my new surprise 8-) ...no battery in camera yet!) I have gotten those half to three quarter thick 2 ft X 2 ft mats that hook together. They are often sold in the exersize dept of Walmart or for standing on for long periods of time in a work situation. I cut them to fill the space of the cargo area. I figure that they soften some of the road vibrations on the dogs. They give good traction for paws and anything else riding back their. I have noticed that they have protected the floor of the cargo area from the effects of dog crates and other items that have the potential to cause wear. Easy to wipe out and clean. I got smarter this time and fit them so that the seams meet up and it is simple to pull the second row of seats up...should I ever transport hoomans instead of puppers  I also lined up the second row of mats ( these had to be cut down because they were not a full 2 ft in length) so that the split in the mats matched the split in the back seats.

Oh, Tina, you are an interior decorator with an eye to the "lines" of flow. I may take a look at those to keep the kayak from scooting around. I may also have to put the propane back there as the spot behind the passenger seat may be too small. Need to put that on my to do list.

So without carpet it should be great for tossing a wet kayak in, right? Herbie is a beaut!

Awesome! Love the color. To tow, pull the 2 amp fuse from the passenger side. Put car in N; turn key off and whatever you do TURN OFF THE AUTO LIGHTS. I didn't do that for the first few tows and always ended up w/a dead battery. If you have any questions before you get your owners manual let me know.
