YIPEE!!!! I am so happy to see so many interested in a Bandon gtg!

Here are dates that look good for me......August 15 - 19. That will give me a couple weeks to play on the coast and still get home before Labor Day week-end.
(It's best to plan around travel on CA highways on major holidays .

My connection is just tooo slow to bring up campground maps or make reservations, so I won't be doing that until I get to the coffee shop. If someone with a big rig has a preference, please POST asap and then we can all get into that area.

RE: Crater Lake, I am 99% sure I will be camping there for a couple days with my sister and her two grandsons the days BEFORE our gtg at Bandon.

AND finally, reservations at Crater Lake and anywhere along the coast need to be made WAY in advance.

For those interested in Crater Lake there are campgrounds in the Medford area and also Shady Cove. Crater Lake is only 90 miles or so from Medford. The campgrounds up by the lake fill fast and arent that big and not many choices. Hope this helps. I live in Ashland area so if you want me to check any campgrounds out just let me know.

For the Oregon coast another idea is the Mill Casino in Coos Bay has a great RV Park (cheap too) right on the water with great restrooms, large level sites. Just throwing it out there for everyone

For those that need 50 amp hookups: Loop B is all 50amps and there are large (up to 50 foot rigs) sites with full hookups. We can start reserving sites on Nov.15th

Okay, can someone post on the first page in big bold letters, the dates and location. That's so we can keep seeing it and keeping figuring how can we get from the East (right side) to the West (left side). I am hoping to do the eastern part of Canada this summer. So need to keep this floating on my calendar.

Average high temps for Bandon in August is mid 60s to 70* Lows in the 50s.
So put August 15-19 on your calendar!

Birdie, I found one map of the Bandon Beach SP but it's in PFD (PDF?) format and I couldn't figure out how to save it to photobucket to post. Also don't know how to move a post to the beginning of a thread. Hopefully some of the computer wiz ladies will come to our rescue.......AHEM!
