Hey everyone --
Well, I may just have experienced what could be a long road with Jed. It appears that he may have had a seizure. After last year's scare with strychnine (yes, it's been a whole year) and him totally recovering from that, out of the blue he had something that sure looked like a seizure. The weird part was that after he came out of it he was absolutely fine. And before it he ran out into his run, heaved, then came back and seized (or whatever it was). Well, the hyper-vigilant mother in me called the 24 hour vet (30 mi. from home) and talked to the neurology intern who agreed that I could just monitor him for the time being.
I'm a nervous wreck. I don't do sick animals well, and it seems like I can't get through October without some sort of animal-related calamity happening. It completely un-does me.
Please pray or say a good word for my 4-legged boy. He's my life, and I don't know what I'd do without him. I'm just going to pray that it was an isolated incident and that it'll never happen again. But that little voice in the back of my head says that it's the beginning of some not-so-fun times to come.
Thanks for listening.
