:? Bethers, Seems I am no longer able to get my favorite color red (font colour) to show in message. I was successful at first, what am I doing wrong :?:

This color? If you click on the font color box - you'll get this show up: [ color=#FF0000][ /color] The cursor will then be in between those without the spaces I put in to make them show on here - and you type there and the color will be the color you selected.

The other way to do it is to type the message or part you want in color, then highlight it, then click on font color, select the color, and what you highlighted will be in that color.

A little more work there, Sharon -

Easiest way for me is to put in the text I want to link to - say to my blog I'd put in Beth's Blog

Then highlight the text you want and click on the URL button.

I'm doing this so it won't work: [ url]Beth's Blog

That's what will come on the screen - without the space in the [ url]

To make it link to my blog, now you'd copy the link you need - in this case http://www.ontheroadwithbeth.com and you will go inside the first [ url] like this

[ url=http://www.ontheroadwithbeth.com]

So, I typed in the = sign then pasted in the url. So it will now look like this:

[ url=http://www.ontheroadwithbeth.com]Beth's Blog

Now I made those all show by putting an extra space in - so take out that space and you have when you post:

Beth's Blog

It's easier than that sounds!

Bethers, I swear I haven't consumed anything other than coffee like the poor woman who fell out of the mh but I am bewildered (don't find a face for that) :? I would have sworn after I composed my message and all was fine when I previewed, I hit submit but it has never shown. It was in reply to (I did it...)If it isn't floating out there somewhere, most likely it is unretrievable, which is okay, but does have me wondering what I did. Do you think I hit preview, looked at it then thought I had submitted...guess I just answered my :?: :!: I talk to myself or the dogs all day long...which means it's time to take Rowdy Rudy and hit the road ;) For those who worry about being subjected to Rowdy Rudy somewhere out there, he is a sweetheart, loves everybody, looks like a commercial dog....

If you hit "SUBMIT" and someone else has posted in between the time you were reading the thread and when you hit "SUBMIT", you post does not post. Just his your "BACK" button and you can do it again. What experience has taught me is to hit <CTRL-A> then <CTRL-C> BEFORE I hit "SUBMIT". What this does is copy EVERYTHING (A=ALL) in your reply to the clipboard, and if it disappears, you can paste it without having to re-type.
Hope this helps.

You don't even have to hit the back button - as you'll get a different screen - and it won't say post submitted, it'll actually tell you someone else posted and you may want to review that post before sending yours. Scroll down and hit send again - your post is still on that page. If I hit the back button, I lose my post when that's happened.

But, yes, previewing can screw me up also. And my current computer can screw me up - as I rest my wrist on the computer while typing and it sometimes hits the laptop mouse area - and sends me somewhere I have no intention of going. (The work around to that is plugging in a mouse, and that then HAS to be used instead of the area on the laptop - which I normally do now). This is a quirk of IE7, I believe.
