Welcome, Linda and fellow RT owner. I know you are excited to begin your adventures in it. I have been RVing (part time) since 2004, after I lost my husband. I started with a small RT 170, graduated to a 20' Pleasureway, and recently traded that for a RT 210 Popular. I look forward to hearing about your travels and experiences as a "full-timer."

What an interesting lady you are! Good for you 'getting back out there'. My marriage of 25 years ended 4 years ago and I am about to do the same. We tried to travel, even had a beautiful 40' rig, but if the compatibility isn't there, no amount of luxury will make it work. I have a small business but my part of it is at a computer... my partner/good friend understands my passion and the plan is for me to be gone half of the year. I will take rowdy 'Rudy', my shiz tzu mix (will be putting up pictures soon). I am so excited about this :D I will come home after each jaunt even more motivated to clean, paint, redorate, work in garden, etc. I don't think I will want to full time..,maybe if I had started this earlier, I'm 66, but 5 years is probably going to have me ready to settle back in for the duration..who knows :?: You have had an interesting life and have so much to contribute to the group. This 'droid' of yours has me ready to go out and get mine. Florida is a long way for you but as you embark, you might be driving along and decide to set the GPS for Ocala. I just today got my reservations for the FL GTG. I love the gulf coast and will travel water's edge all the way. Happy Travelin :) :!:

WELCOME, LINDA!

You will fit right into our group of neat women who dare to take to the roads, and some dare to live on the roads! It sounds as if you have a lot of stories to tell around a campfire at a GTG in the future. (GTG=get together----in case you are abbreviation challenged as I am!)

Can't wait to hear more from you, see some pictures when you learn how to post them, and meet you somewhere, 'out there.'

Happy travels!

Welcome Linda. Sorry for your loss but it sounds like you sure know what you want to do. Good for you. I live on the West coast too, have my ShihTzu, Rags and my name is Linda also!! Have a 34' Class A motorhome which hasn't been on the road much this year. I need to do something about that!!!

Welcome back Linda and double ditto to what the others have said. I can sorta sympathize w/ your loss although I've not lost one to death,,, but we are stronger after all and it's great to realize which way you want to go w/ your life. Sounds like you have a great plan so go for it and enjoy the gift of life that you have left. I think we all would agree w/ that.

Look forward to hearing lots more from you and your adventures and the pictures, ,well, as Karen said,, they are a MUST !

I FINALLY got some more posted on my profile, etc. DUH me! I had about forgotten how to do it. It ain't the easiest thing to do, I assure ya!

Safe travels and hope to run into you on the road someday @ one of our gatherings. (whenever I get to join you guys, that is!)

love to all!

Janet
