GOOD MORNING ALL!
It's a mild 28 degrees here this morning, and it looks as if the sky has finally cleared off after this weekend's nor'easter which dumped up to 10 inches of snow on the Whiteface Mountain area and surrounds. My woodstove is cranking up and feels good.
Today I need to clear up some house insurance stuff---to see if I now qualify for a discount on house insurance for this place with my alarm system installed. Also, my FL insurance agent can no longer be found at his business telephone number, so I called the company insuring my house down there to see why they elected to not renew me for next year. It seems they mailed the agent something that never got answered, about who was in charge of that place, or something, and so they plan to cancel. When I hung up the phone with them, they were trying to find out where in hell my agent is! He either died, left in the dead of night for parts unknown, went out of busisness, or whatever! I need to find an agency who will insure that place.
Then I will go to the bank and see what setting up a bill pay account will cost, if anything. I will also drop off the rest of the stuff I want to leave in the safe deposit box. I have a few groceries I need to pick up, a laundry to do, and then I am pretty much set to roll by the end of this month.
My friend with lung cancer begins her extreme chemotherapy and radiation doses today, and I am praying she will not be alergic to the stuff they are infusing her with. It's a very scary day for her. By tonight, the scariness about the way it will affect her should be abated, but the chemical sickness will have begun. It will be a long haul for her, to say the least.
Coffee is hot, so stop by and let us in on your doings. I hope you all have a wonderful day out there, wherever you might be. Anyone hitting the road, happy travels!
