yes, I'm still alive

yes, I'm still alive

Postby JanetA » Mon Oct 18, 2010 12:08 pm

Just wanted to post and say hi and sorry I haven't been around lately. It seems that things just are too nutz around here w/ the folks. (one in the nursing home and mama getting more blind by the day) Keeps me hopping. I have one bright spot in my life, and that is ROY, my new love. He is so sweet and comforting for keeping me upbeat and reminding that the day will come when we can take off together for parts unknown. I feel blessed to have found him and that he has the same goals as I do, for hitting the road. The days until then seem sooooooo long and far away, but Roy has his mom in a nursing home as well, up near Dallas so that is a burden we share,,,as do a lot of us, I know. That is a comfort to me as well. I hate to call it a burden, but when it come down to it, I also call it 'payback time'. The difference is that , the BABY grows up , and the parent,, well they go on to the place where we all came from and will return someday.

Thanks for listening, gals, and keep having a great time for me and know that sometimes I just come in and read, but don't take the time to post.,,and it's NOT because I don't care about you all!

much love and hugs to all

Glad to hear from you. I was wondering where you've been.

So, I'm going to be perfectly honest here - for the first few sentences (or words, anyway), I thought you got a puppy!
Either way, I'm glad you have someone to ease you through some of the rough times.

Oh Janet times like these are very hard... I understand the feelings... we will have a better time when you are able to take some trips... maybe even an overnighter... take care and come back often to 'vent' or just letting us know how you are...

So good to hear from you Janet!

I have to agree with Mitch - at first I wondered what kind of puppy you had gotten. So glad he is of the two footed kind! Would love to hear how you met. It is always helpful to have someone to share our lives with. Congrats on your new relationship.

We have applied for work in Texas at a couple of places. If we get up that way we will give you a shout! Would love to meet you in person.

I'm so happy you found someone but add me to the list of those who thought you had a new puppy. Good to hear from you and to know you have someone in your life to help lift your burdens and hopefully make life easier.

Janet, I think I'm among the minority that knew you were speaking of a guy companion. ;) A dog never crossed my mind. Funny how our minds work.

Glad to see a post, Janet - and happy to hear things are still going so well with you and Roy. That's great news. Nice to have someone to share the trials of your aging parents with. And everything else :)
