Dreaming & Waiting

Come on in and say hello.

Dreaming & Waiting

Postby LG61820 » Mon Oct 18, 2010 9:48 am

Hi, everyone! New member here. I am planning to revive a dream 40 years in the making. I hope to retire, sell the house & everything in it and go on the road. I wanted to do this at 18, but my husband (! I was just a baby, why did I have a husband?!?) was too settled to leave our hometown.

Is a dream deferred a dream denied? I hope not. I am busy trying to make my house saleable and busy researching RV options. Sometimes the research interferes with the housework.

I am looking forward to learning from all of you. LG

I had a message going and poof! it was gone. Anyway, Welcome :!: I'm new too. I will be a parttimer, getting started a little late I don't see myself fulltiming and want my home to return to. If this takes too long, maybe renting is an option :?: Hang in there, it will happen..you will work through the obstacles Is a dream deferred, a dream denied :?: This is up to each of us...As for myself, I knew this was denied me while elderly parents needed me, but when the problem was someone's birthday party I would be missing or a friend had hit a bump in the road and needed me, again this must be evaluated as to degree of need; I have found there will always be something, but many of those 'somethings' can be handled without you. You will schedule your home trips, you will be satisfied with this and they will too. I, like you, have many questions and will have many things pop up we hadn't anticipated but there are lots of wonderful gals out there ready to lead us through the maze. Now let's hold hands and go after our dreams :D

Welcome to the forum LG!!! What part of the country are you in? Dreams are dreams, but very possible to turn into reality, so I say GO FOR IT!!! It'll be exciting to follow you as you search and obtain your new RV, keep us up to date with your search. Oh, and housework, it'll still be there if you sneak off to the computer or the road to do research, if you try real hard you can ignore it.

Let me add my welcome. Follow your dreams. Any questions - just ask. There's a vast fund of information on this forum. Sometimes the research is a big part of the fun. Where are you located?

WELCOME TO OUR GROUP, KD!

We love to share dreams, experiences, wishes, mistakes----you name it! It is so comforting to realize that, when I have a problem with something or a question about what to do about something related to RVing, there is always someone on here who can come up with some wise advice to help me out. This is a group of daring women who bravely follow their dreams and set out to make a fun life for themselves. Some of them also have wonderful husbands who share their lives, and are very forebearing at get togethers with an overwhelming number of women!

Can't wait to see some pictures when you learn how to post them! And I will look forward to the many posts you will be wanting to share!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hi, all, I've been lurking here for awhile.

I've taken the plunge into RV ownership. I was thinking about a small trailer when someone in my neighborhood put his 26' Class A for sale. When I stepped into it I thought, "this is what I've been looking for." The man babied that RV and did maintenance and repairs galore.

I've become a very timid driver in the past 10 years and can't imagine backing into a site, but I'll get there. This does make it difficult to focus on work and housework!
