Sparkle, don't do any more than you HAVE to do - then get your butt down here and we'll go to MX. One of the guys on my trip with me yesterday got a root canal, a crown and a post - all for in the 400's -

Oh good idea! I'll get the root canal done because he says I will literaly hit the roof if I lose that thin cover over the nerve, and I saw it on the x-ray and it is thin! A trip to Mexico! Wow! Looking forward to a dentist - can't quite get my mind around that.

I was planning on going down in the next month to get this done, but might just wait for you - as I'm not in a hurry :) Even if I get it done, will go back down with you - is a day trip - and I know of a great restaurant down there - and oh, we can shop, too! I got a dentist down there now - as I got my teeth cleaned. A crown requires two visits two weeks apart - no biggie. And if you need any generic prescriptions filled - that's the time to do that also :)

Many of the dentists there actually live in the US - and many have degrees from here - just the price that is way lower.

Aw, Sparkle. Too bad about needing the root canal. Like you, several months I went to the dentist in Portland, expecting just an exam and cleaning. Turned out I needed not one, but TWO root canals. Never had one before in my life. Well, got them done as well as the permanent fillings. The one in the front tooth is still very fragile and both of them need crowns. The dentist at Gentle Dental kept telling me I'd need something called "crown lengthening" which sounded very painful, as well as the crowns. However, since I was leaving for my summer job in a week, no time for either. So, now I've got an appointment with my mom's dentist in San Diego for a second opinion about the crown lengthening, hopefully two crowns, and finally a cleaning. When Jenny, Dan, Charles and I went to Algodones, Mexico last year, I had my teeth cleaned - $30. However, I don't think he did a very good job. So, probably just the dentist we chose.

Good luck!

Ooooh Bethy, wait for me. I finish here on October 31st. I take Gwen to Bullhead City, if she makes it until then, she's getting upset with this place, then instead of lollygagging I could make my way straight to your neck of the surf. Sounds like a fun trip. How far from you is this place? Do we take our rigs in? If so I think I'd board the dog and cat.

We go down and back in one day- it's about a 3 or so hour drive. I'll be going back down in 2 weeks with the man here who got his temporary crown this past week. He has to go get the permanent. So, as with all crowns, it requires 2 visits. We could also take rigs down to the valley and get a spot there - where it would only be a 1/2 hour - 1 hour drive - easy to leave the pets for that length of time.

Whenever you get here, we'll plan a trip down - so don't rush on that account - they aren't going anywhere. And neither am I :). I don't know how long you can leave your animals. I have someone at this park who will watch Peaches for me when I go.

By the way, you want to plan to buy whatever liquor you need while there. You can get 4 bottles - and it will save you money :)

OK, we'll go get our teeth fixed, buy booze to ruin more teeth - see all the street merchants and haggle if we want to buy anything - what more fun could we ask for ? :)

speaking of tequila - we also have an advantage there. Since we aren't residents of TX, we are allowed to bring back 4 bottles of booze (prices are definitely right :) ) - residents can only bring back one. I don't buy much - so if you're in need, this will be the time to fill up also.

And speaking of trouble - yep, we can make our fair share - on both sides of the border.

pout pout you get 4 bottles! We go to Algodones and they only let us across with 1 per person!! Oh Well I mostly go over for Shrimp tacos anyway and Tamales.

Wal-Mart in Yuma had Oakleaf Merlot that was as good as 2 buck Chuck ( Charles Shaw Merlot) less than $2

I'm looking for a new Dentist this winter! Not happy with the staff and conditions of the one I went to last winter!

Can't wait to get home and put my shorts on again!!
