Today's Adventure

Postby Mollysmom » Sun Sep 21, 2008 4:21 pm

Today I went to the Darlingtonia Nature Area and the Sutton Recreation Area. Both are just up the road from "my" campground.
They were really interesting places - it amazes me that I can walk in a really dense woods where there are bear warning signs then round the corner and see the ocean !
Oregon is a crazy cool place !!!
Here are some pictures from today .....
Hopefully you can read this sign that tells about the Darlingtonia

The Darlingtonia - very cool plants, I would have loved to have touched one !

I loved the look of these trees - the wind wasn't blowing, they just grew this way ... very cool !!

Finally, here are Flo and Rida having fun with their new friend !! HA !!

It sounds as though you are finally enjoying yourself. Great photos! When does your job start? If I remember correctly, you will be wearing a costume? Can't wait for the photos of that, and to hear how you like wearing a long skirt.

lol, I went from enjoying the pics, to laughing out loud about corsets. I, too, am so glad you're having a good time. You're discovering why I love travelling this great country of ours - no matter where you go, you can find these wonderful new things to see. And those truly are neat plants. Thanks for sharing.
