My fur kids

Postby Mollysmom » Thu Oct 14, 2010 8:37 pm

Way back when, when I posted allot, you met my dog Molly and my cat Murphy - well there's been a new addition to the family, Bob the kitten !
Bob is a complete freak, so she fits in nicely (yes, Bob is a girl) She has a little stumpy tail and crazy jacked up back legs - her Mom is part Manx - she's super sweet and kitten crazy and I just love her !!! Molly thinks she's OK and Murphy tolerates her (I think he secretly likes her, he just doesn't want us to know it)
Here are some pics ....

Image
Here you can see her silly little body - the part of her tail that sticks out acts like a regular tail and the part that hangs down is just fluff, kind of like a bunny tail ..

Sweet little Bob hanging on the cat tree ...

Thought you might like seeing the kids !

Thanks for looking at my crazy little family !!

I can see Bob(as in Bobbie kittie) making a lot of mischief for the other fur babies. Looks like she is going to be a fun one to have around. I expect she will be door vaulting before long. Thanks for showing off your fur babies!

Trudy, I've been following Bob's experiences on your blog and every time I see her it makes me smile. Your other fur babies are cute also of course! :D

How nice to see you, Trudy, and the great pictures of your fur family! Bob is a one-of-a-kind, for sure, and I just love her! What is the story of your getting her? (I suppose I could read your blog, but I usually don't have time to read blogs.)

I really appreciate your update for us on here! Thanks so much!

Hi Trudy. Bob is a cutie and I'm sure your other guys really love her even if they try to hide it.

I got Bob from some friends of my sister's. They have a farm and Bob and her brother were farm kittens. I thought she was so sweet when I saw her but never intended to get a kitten, but as I was leaving the farm my sister's friend said "it's too bad the kittens will just get killed by the dogs" !!!! Well, right then and there I said I'd take Bob - even if I wasn't able to keep her she needed to be saved. There's just something about her - she looked right into my eyes and "asked" me to save her so I did. I wish I could have gotten Bob's brother too, but turns out he's doing just fine out on the farm so that makes me feel a little better about leaving him behind.
I did have to wait about 2 weeks before I could pick up Bob (she was too young) and I worried the whole time something would happen to her - turns out the owners were kind enough to keep the dogs penned up for those 2 weeks so the kittens would be safe :D I'm sure the dogs were glad when Bob left - they could be free again !!!
When I went to pick her up, I scooped her up and she looked right into my eyes again and neither of us ever looked back ! Bob never acted like she missed her old family, she just knew we were hers now - Bob did live in a large carrier type deal for a couple of weeks, at least she stayed in there when I was gone and at night - I didn't want Murphy to hurt her. There really haven't been any big fights or any big drama so it was a good decision.
And yes, I missed all of you !!
