OK, I need to clarify. I know that NORMALLY shower water goes in the gray water tank. And I know that it is often frowned upon to put gray water on the ground. (Although I have done it with my other camper in places where it was okay. )BUT in this year Rialta the shower water goes into the black water tank. Big ol' bummer for me -especially since the black water tank is pretty small on this.
I read on one place that some have made a modification on their Rialta so that they can run the shower water into a container--blue rolling tank or even a bucket that can then be poured somewhere. I was just wondering if anyone here had a Rialta and has done this. I think I'll get it figured out.

I play music in a band so I am often camping where there is no sewer hookup. If I have electricity to run the AC I'm pretty happy(it's hot here in the south!) but I also need to be able to keep the hair washed so I can look okay too!
Maybe I need to stand in an old fashioned washtub when I shower! : )

Thanks for the welcomes!

Missy - lots use those blue tanks. What I don't know is how you would be able to separate the shower to do so - you'll need someone who understands that Rialta for that. Maybe check on rv.net - they will have others with that model and hopefully someone who knows.

What kind of music do you play? I love music. And what instrument? Or do you sing? Tell us more :)

I think I have a solution to the shower drain.
Bethers, I play in an acoustic vocal duo-mostly original music with some original arrangements. The name of the band is Angela McKinney & Her Mighty Small Band. I play upright bass in the band and sing. www.AngelaMckinneyMusic.com
Thanks for asking.

Welcome, Missy! I've got nothing useful to add to this conversation (I'm a new RVer about to take my maiden voyage), but just wanted to say hello. Glad you're here.

Welcome to the forum, Missy. I had an older version of the Rialta -- LOVE the clever layout. I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm glad you decided to take a chance on us! LOL.

Changing the subject here, but I'd really like to know from other Rialta owners how they are for long term living. The pros and cons of owning one. I am looking at a 2003 Rialta. Still very expensive. Are they worth the money? About $44,000. Cdn. Thanks cheryl

Someone mentioned that the grey water can smell really, really bad. That's caused mostly by food particles going down the drain and sitting in the tank. I use mesh drain things and you would be surprised at how much "stuff" you prevent from going down the drain. Use one in kitchen and bathroom. Walmart carries them; one bigger for kitchen and one smaller for bathroom in same package.

Hi Missy! Welcome to the forum. Caution: crazy ladies here. Enter only if you want to have fun and support.

In answer to one question ... having been a state park camp host, I know that people dumping grey water on the ground can get a serious ticket.
