It's BENIGN. Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and prayers.

My son called the doctor's (Harvard) office almost every other day, first to be sure they received what they needed to give the diagnosis, then to get the results. Then Friday he called the local doctor/lab that had requested the Harvard review. That doctor grilled my son as to who he was, how he knew it had been sent to Harvard, how he got the phone number for the Harvard doctor, etc. etc. My son explained that this was about his 5-year old daughter and he was extremely concerned, got the phone number off the Internet, etc. etc. So the doctor said due to privacy he needed to give the results to the dermatologist - - but then he said he would tell my son since he knew how much he needed to hear the news, and it was benign.

We are so blessed. As I watched her fall asleep on our couch last night, I was so very, very thankful.

Oh, Margie, I've been looking every day for word from you - and wow, when I saw the headline, I knew - That is such fantastic news for all of you. How scary to have to even think those thoughts about your granddaughter - but how wonderful that while this was a hard, trying time, the final result is great news.
