OCTOBER 1st---ARK REQUESTED HERE!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

OCTOBER 1st---ARK REQUESTED HERE!

Postby Nasoosie » Fri Oct 01, 2010 7:49 am

GOOD OCTOBER MORNING, ALL!

And I forgot to shout RABBITS, as usual! For some reason, I thought yesterday was Wednesday all day, even after I wrote Thursday in this room!

Boy have we ever had torrential rains all day yesterday and all night long, and, so far today, all morning! My yard, despite being up high and not in danger of flooding, has standing water all over as the rain is coming down faster than the percolation into the ground can happen. It pounded down on my metal roof all night long! Poor Molly did not wish to go out for her morning pee at all!

It's cooler today, but not cold, at 50 degrees here. I really need to get some more firewood in here so I can stay warm as the temperature is now forecast to drop precipitously. I was hoping to be able to get my trailer back here today---NOT! I don't want to drive in waterfall-type rains----and, besides, I haven't heard from the dealer yet anyway.

Tomorrow evening, Mandy will arrive to help me sort through some valuables to take to the safe deposit box and help me organize a list of things I need to do IF I am to ever get out of here this winter.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know you aren't stranded somewhere, or battling floods if you are in the eastern part of the country. Stay safe, and have fun, above all!

Happy travels!

Well, is a great day here at Potter's Creek. Little breeze this morning. Saw Liz take off this morning for home. She will be taking the long way home and learn her new rig. It is a beauty and she is going to be having a great time. After all, this is the first day of the rest.....of her life and she has a Road Trek 210. She hasn't stopped smiling since she got in her Silver Lining.

On the second cup of coffee. Hope everyone on the road has safe travels today. Everyone parked should have a great day doing whatever they want this day.

Good Morning!

I actually remembered to say Rabbits this morning; looking forward to nothing but good things to happen this month.

I've accomplished almost nothing since returning from AR. First chore today is going thru all the mail that arrived while I was gone and getting bills paid. I'm stuck here anyway waiting for service tech to come check central unit. Hate it when you need something done and they cannot tell you what time they will come.

Weather is near perfect. Last Friday temps were hovering around one hundred, todays high is only to be about 80. We may even see lows get into upper 40s by end of weekend. What happened to fall?

My dog sitter exchange friend had a nasty accident Tuesday night. Fell and broke her ankle in 3 places. She is to have surgery on it next Wed. Her wedding is set for the 16th so she will be going down the aisle in a wheel chair. Fortunately the man she is to marry is a retired medic and he was able to come stay with her earlier than they had planned. Was going to let her come stay with me but he is doing a much better job of caring for her than I could have. He can even cook.

Soos: Do you have a target date for heading south? Hope you get out of there before snow hits.

Have a great day.

Good Morning Ladies from Beautiful Weather Normal... gotta love this time of year... I am sure behind on getting ready to head south... I hate that the MH sits in the drive way all winter... but it is better all around just driving down and staying a unit at Sportsmans Cove...

Last night my daughter Margie and I went to the Crisis Pregnancy Resource dinner it was held in the new Marriott hotel here in Normal we had a good time... the keynote speaker was Abby Johnson... she was the former head of the Planned Parenthood in Washington DC until she watched a 13 week baby being aborted she watched on the ultrasound... she only told part of what she saw... she saw the instrument being inserted and she could see the fully developed baby which they call a fetus... they had been told to never call it a baby... she saw the baby move to get away from the instrument she said the doctor said turn on the suction she did not say what else happened then the screen went black... that procedure was the turning point in her life... she now works for Living Alternatives where they choose life... Sorry to be so down but I believe we need to all know what happens at the abortion clinics... they are not just fetuses they are babies...

I will do a few things around the house then have some errands to run... well maybe I should drive instead of run!
Oh, my Liz is on the road with her new MH... how nice she is one special lady... I will enjoy visiting with her this winter... Soos is still sorting but now that it is raining that is a good thing to do... Shadow does not like to go out in the rain either...
Sarah I can think of more things than I do so I am right up there with you...

Have a great day everyone and drive safe on the roads snow birds are heading north shortly...

Good afternoon, (here) Just finished eating my Flamingo Poo, for those of you who haven't tried it, you really should some day :) Lasted a while, as my taste buds couldn't deal with it, too often. I'm an on again, off again person on that stuff.

Soos, I'm not to good on building arks, but have a dry place here, if you need one. We had rain for about 12 hrs., but sun is out nice right now. We needed it and was just a nice rain, I really enjoyed it. Maggie, didn't care to much for it when she had to go out for her morning go, yesterday morning, but I managed well with an umbrella :)

Just finished going through all my mail here. Had to wait on it, until R.V. was cleaned. Still have linens etc. to carry back out, and put away. Need to go tackle some of the leaves of fall, on my back deck. Did the front porch, Wed. and it needs it again. I love this time of year, but the leaves, sure give me a good work out. I'm so afraid they are all going to fall off, before turning. I love the autumn colors!!

For those of you in this downpour going up the coast, BE CAREFUL, sounds dangerous in some areas. Glad Lori, you all changed your route, safe travels.

Must get moving, so much to do, can't set long, or my bottom gets to used to setting

Have a Great day everyone !!!! For those traveling, especially one particular person in a Silver thingy ;) stay safe !!!!!
