WET, GREY THURSDAY

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL.

My friend, Kathy, from CA, is back home today, as when they biopsied her lymph node in her chest near her lung cancer, they found it full of cancer. So, as was the plan, they closed the small incision up and sent her home to begin chemotherapy as soon as possible. She has an appointment with her oncologist today. So the battle begins. I am so hoping that the cancer will die back as Sparkle's has, and that they can then remove the offending lobe of her right lung to get rid of the source. Time will tell, and it will be stressful, as we can imagine----and as our own Sparkle knows first-hand. We were lucky to have a wonderful week here, symptom-free, before this latest attack will begin.

It's 52 degrees outside, very grey, heavy air, and raining. Flood watches for some parts of the area today as the rains are scheduled to become very heavy. A good day to stay inside and continue picking at my 'stuff.' I made a huge dent yesterday in the upstairs closet by eliminating years and years of Christmas lights, decorations, paper, and bows and ribbons. I narrowed the stuff down to the newest, least dust-laden things, checked all the tons of strings of lights and tossed any that would not light up. I also found all my summer skorts that I knew I had stored 'somewhere special!' Good thing I don't have a demand for wearing those things!

I should attack the cellar area today, but, by the time I wade through the other side of that upstairs closet, I am sure the day will be over! There are tons of Halloween boxes and Easter boxes, and old home movies and projectors and framed pictures, and who-knows-what-all else up there. Sigh! Never a do-nothing day here! I can always decide to paint the bathroom walls which are cherry paneling----I've had a can of bright green paint in there for years now. It needs some brightening up.

Here's hoping your weather wherever you are is nicer today than is ours, but we are lucky in that we have no hideous winds, no extreme temperatures, and no floods on my property. Stop by for coffee and let us know what's up in your part of this globe. Happy Thursday to all.

Sorry to hear about your friend's diagnosis, Soos. Hopefully, the treatment will be successful and she has family and/or friends around to help her thru her treatments. Well, we're settled here in Sarasota for the winter. Already had the RV guy to fix the tow electrical system and check our rearview camera which seems to have burned out. Also asked him to look at the window treatments to see if indeed Fleetwood had used 45 degree screws at the bottom to hold them to the "walls" as I wanted to take them down and replace them or at least recover them with colors I like. I was right, which means I would have holes on each side of the windows and the one behind the couch will be difficult because of the ledge right under them. Will have to decide if I want to deal with trying to fix the holes so they are not noticeable-caulk and paint won't blend in too easily with the "wallpaper" Have been playing lots of tennis, setting up doctor appointments and will be going to see Bob's mom at assisted living. Getting used to being stationary, at least as far as traveling with the RV. But, who knows what might pop up. Am flying out to Tuscon to visit my sister and BIL in January and we are going to the Quartzite rally. No other plans yet. Weather is typical FL-warm and humid-although the temps dropped some yesterday. Everybody stay well and enjoy whatever the day brings. carold

Good Morning ladies... another beautiful fall day in mid 70s... I left the fan in the window last night to bring in the cool air... that helps a lot because even if it is cool and the sun is shining it heats my mobile home a lot...
Soos sorry for the unwanted diagnosis for Kathy... she is in my prayers... we never know what tomorrow brings...
Carold you could have a project with those window coverings... hope you are happy with the outcome...
Today I will wrap my great granddaughters birthday present and get it in the mail... wow she will be 3 hard to believe... I will also have to vacuum Shadow hair up... he never stops shedding...
I trust you all that are on the road are enjoying your time... especially Liz!

Still AM here, so Good morning!
I've was to the store and back before 8! I love going early when almost no one else is in the store. The BP monitor I bought to replace the one I lost wasn't working right. It was the same as what I had so I know how it should have worked. So I replaced it with something different. We'll see how this goes. Hope it's accurate.
Yesterday was Bible study class which I enjoyed. Afterward I ate lunch and took my dog for a long walk. Our weather is so fall-like. I love it. The colored leaves were skittering down the street as we walked and others were crunching under our feet. Someone had the wood fireplace going so the hint of woodsmoke was in the air.

Today I'm just being lazy. Gonna catch up on some TV shows I recorded and do some reading on my Kindle. Tomorrow night my 2 GDs are coming to spend the night. My DD/SIL are attending a Pregnancy Resource fundraiser dinner. Then Saturday I'll drive them home as they have soccer games just after noon.

Soos, thank you for sharing about Kathy's diagnosis and treatment. Keep us updated on her recovery, please.
