Birdie and I are staying at Potter’s Creek COE campground on Canyon Lake in TX hill country.
View toward the lake from my site in the shade.

View from my site towards Birdie’s. Deer roam freely through the park.

Sites by the water

Bathouse....clean with nice showers

Birdie and I agree this would make a great place for a future GTG.

There are 114 paved level sites in 4 loops, plus tent sites with screen enclosures.

Group picnic areas, swimming area, and boat launches.

Wildlife is abundant

Many opportunities for kayaking, sailing on the lake, fishing, or tubing, rafting on the nearby Guadeloupe River

I could stay here awhile...$9.00 a day with Golden Age/Access Pass

Thanks for these great pics, Liz.....it sure does look like a great campground! It has everything I would ever want. I really need to get my Golden Age Pass. That price is fantastic!

I can't WAIT to see your new rig! Bet you're really getting excited to pick her up!

That's a neat cg. Didn't stay there, but checked it out when I went down and visited a friend with a lake house on Canyon Lake. And look at the great wildlife you're seeing. And capturing for us on camera! I love the TX Hill Country, especially in fall and spring.

That looks like a beautiful place to stay... but no GTG in the hot part of summer... fall would be great... I need to pull the rig out again...

Actually, Birdie found it, but she was keeping it a secret.

I use to go to PC waaaaay back in 1967. I think the last time was early 80's.
Still looks great,, actually better than ever. I agree it's a great place to have a GTG in the early spring or fall.
Will be glad when it cools off some more!!!
Still in the 80's during the day and not below upper 50's @ nite,, mostly higher! sorry to the northern gals!!
